Can I setup Dropbox with SuccessWare21 so that files are not saved on the local Workstation?
Yes! We have found that that a 3rd party software by the name of ExpanDrive can help you do this. ExpanDrive costs $50 for each user. You will need one user for each workstation accessing those files directly through SuccessWare21 document storage. You can trial for 30 Days but will need to purchase it if you would like to continue it after.
This is documentation on how to download a 3rd party software, ExpanDrive, to be able to use DropBox for document storage inside SuccessWare21 and not have to have the files sync on your computer.
1.) Go to http://expandrive.com
2.) Download Expand Drive
3.) Open and Install Application
4.) Lauch Expandrive when the download completes
5.) Hit the Plus symbol at the bottom left of the window (as seen below)
6.) Select Dropbox from the list
7.) Log into Dropbox using the same credentials you used to Integrate into SWRemote (If you haven’t done this step yet, you will need to use the same credentials when you integrate SWRemote)
7.) Upon Login, Name the drive what you would like and choose the Drive letter S: or T:, then click Connect.
*Note* If you currently have JungleDisk installed on your workstation and it is using either Drive letter S: or T:, you will need to use the opposite.
8.) Once Connected you will see the drive and a file folder will open with your newly mapped Drive (S: or T:)
9.) Log into SuccessWare21
10.) Once logged in hit the Red 21 button and Setup and go to Company
11.) Go to Other tab and click Edit on the bottom, then click Location Document Setup
12.) Click the Ellipses symbol (…) and select the new drive you created (S: or T:) and click Ok:

14.) You should see results
15) Click Ok and Save:
