CLASSES

Puppy Obedience Class: Puppies from 3 to 6 months of age may enroll in the puppy class, provided that their vaccinations are current. Handlers teach puppies how to walk on leash, sit, down-stay, etc. Additional information such as housebreaking, grooming, and nutrition is given in a lecture/demonstration situation. This class meets for 6 weeks (no dogs the first night). Fee $80: meets Thursdays, 6:00-6:45 pm: Instructor – DianeGaw.

Beginning Obedience Class: This class is for dogs 6 months of age or older. Handlers are taught basic obedience commands: heel, sit-stay, down-stay, stand, and come. Socialization with people and other pets is encouraged. Additional problem-solving information is presented. This class meets for 6 weeks (no dogs the first night). Fee: $80: meets Tuesdays, 7:15-8:00 pm: Instructor – Kelley Moss.

ALL CLASSES ARE HELD AT THE MT. PLEASANT MICHIGAN KENNEL CLUB BUILDING. PLEASE SEE DIRECTIONS. MOST CLASS SIZES ARE LIMITED. FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MAILED WITH REGISTRATION.

Confirmation of classes will not be mailed. If the class has filled by the time you register, you will be called. If you do not hear from us, assume that you are registered for the class.

Vaccination requirements for our classes: Age appropriate DHPP, that is puppies less than 4 months receiving vaccine every 2-4 weeks with a final booster at 14-18 weeks. Puppies greater than 4 months should have at least 1 DHPP vaccine after reaching 4 months.

Rabies vaccine must be given by 6 months of age, that is every dog in every class that is 6 months or older is required to be vaccinated for rabies and current.

Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine is recommended for dogs greater than 4 months of age.

MAIL FORM AND SEND IT WITH YOUR CHECK OR MONEY ORDER (CASH IS NOT ACCEPTED) PAYABLE TO MPMKC TO THE TEACHER OF THE CLASS FOR WHICH YOU ARE ENROLLING. CHECKS AND/OR MONEY ORDERS MUST BE MADE OUT TO MPMKC, NOT THE TEACHER OF THE CLASS.
