I am a knowledgeable Business and Customer focused IT Professional with good experience of communicating with customers at all levels, both in terms of technical knowledge and company position (from “shop floor” to Directorship). Very much customer focused in all my activities, I have experience of building, leading, motivating and participating in successful technical and non-technical commercial teams and projects. Identification and Definition of Business Needs: Utilising skills in both Business Process Re-Engineering and Business Requirements Analysis to assess the benefits to the business of new (as well as improvements to existing) IT systems, taking into consideration the needs of the end users and benefits to customers that will result.

Designing, Developing and Producing IT Solutions:Formulating a technical solution for established requirements (Solution Proposals) and then defining exactly how the IT solution will be designed/developed/implemented on a Technical level (Technical Specifications). Overseeing the creation of Packaged Solution to be deployed, including coding, configuration and system testing.

Implementation and on-going Support: All aspects of deploying and configuring technology solutions. From installation/upgrade/integration of software/systems to advanced configuration to User Training (end users, administrators, implementers, consultants, customers) to maximise benefits from deployed IT solutions. 1st/2nd/3rd line technical and operational support of software and hardware solutions/systems to both internal and external customers. Training and Support often have an on-going relationship in building successful long term relationships.

Project Management: Overseeing, contributing to and managing any combination (or all) of the above outlined areas, working to measured budgets and agreed timescales.

I purchased the Pub in October 2004 as an experiment. The challenge with The Castle was to introduce best IT Solutions into an environment that is typically a non-technical business.
