Parade date: Saturday 26 November, 2016, Parade starts 4.30pm.

  • All costumes are hired and wearers must ensure that they look after their costume to ensure no damage. There is to be no smoking whilst in hired costumes.
  • Meet at St Andrews Presbyterian Church at 3pm to get dressed into your costume and have any face painting done. Please wear shorts & a singlet as the parade will be finishing at the Orewa Surf Club.
  • Costumes wearers are required to stay at the church until an adult accompanies their group to their place in the parade.
  • All participants are required to stay in the procession until the dispersal point at the entrance to the Orewa Beach Reserve carpark on Hibiscus Coast Highway. There will be an adult walking with each costume group who will direct the children to the costume changing area. Parents/guardians can collect their children from this area.
  • Costumes must be returned immediately after the parade. The wardrobe ladies will check each costume has been returned. Please ensure that nothing is left at St Andrews Presbyterian Church as this will be locked after costume wearers leave.
  • Costume participants must be positioned in the parade no later than 4pm.
  • Please refrain from any bad language / actions whilst dressed in the costumes as it can be distressing for children and adults alike and this is a community family parade.
