2018 Student Internship Scheme

Post Title / Summer Intern
Duration / 8 weeks in summer 2018 during one of the following periods –
-4 June 2018 (Mon) – 27 July 2018 (Fri);
-19 June 2018 (Tue)– 13 August 2018 (Mon); or
-3 July 2018 (Tue) –27 August 2018 (Mon)
Salary level / Salary of $9,800 per month (total amount of remuneration for the entire internship period will be calculated on a pro-rata basis)
Entry requirements / To qualify for being nominated, the student applicant should –
(i)bea permanent resident of the HKSAR at the time when the placement is offered to the intern; AND
(ii)be a non-final year student with disability studying a full-time bachelor degree, associate degree orhigher diploma course or equivalent (below Master level) in a local tertiary institution;AND
(iii)submit, together with the specified application form (at Annex B), a 300-word essay (in Chinese or English) on why he/she would like to join the Scheme and what he/she would like to achieve from it.
Scheme details / -Interns will be posted to various Bureaux/Departments (B/Ds) for provision of support, i.e. general administration and/or policy support, human resource management, financial resource management, event management,system/project planning and development, support to boards and councils, etc.
-Non-administration related duties relating to the functional duties of the B/D concerned and/or relevant to the field of study of interns may be arranged.
-About five days of training/briefing will be provided by the B/D offering the internship place. A “mentor” will be assigned to each intern to assist him/her in adapting to the working environment.
-A“Certificate of Internship” will be provided for interns upon successful completion of theirinternship (i.e. the intern has attained a satisfactory attendance and conduct record andrendered good performance during the internship period).
