Players Code of Conduct

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU AS A PLAYER!

Player Expectations!

Work hard for yourself and, if applicable, the good of the team.

Be a good role model and never engage in any unsportsmanlike conduct such as using profane language or gestures; booing and taunting; refusing to shake hands.

Work hard on your skill development and practices.

Be generous when you win and gracious when you lose.

During the game focus you attention on the game.

3 Strike Rule!!!!!!

If you do not adhere to the code of conduct, you will then be subject to the 3 strike rule. 1st strike is a verbal warning by your coach, 2nd strike is a warning from the league and 3rd strike you will be asked to turn in your uniform.

Safety

No on deck batters

No touching or swinging bats in dugout

Catchers must wear protective headgear, mask and throat guard when warming up a pitcher

No shorts allowed during practice

Respect equipment & game field.

Any player throwing a bat, helmet or other equipment will be benched for the remainder of the game and will sit out the next game!

Respect the Officials (umpires) during the game!

You will not question, discuss or confront the officials.

Always accept the decisions of the officials and never argue no matter what you’re thinking or feeling!

Respect your Manager/Coaches!

You will accept their decisions, respect their authority!

Never question, discuss or confront coaches at the game field. If you disagree with a decision the coach made take the time to speak to the coach after the game at an agreed upon time and place.

Respect your Teammates and Opponents!

Treat your teammates and opponents w/equal respect.

Absolutely no food in the dugout!

Have a light snack or an early dinner if possible before you arrive at the field.

You are allowed to bring plenty of fluids, gum, seeds and during extreme heat bring orange slices. (Dispose of these items properly when finished with them.) BE PREPARED!

Once in the dugout you are to remain inside the parameters of the dugout unless you need to use the restroom.

Keep dugout clean. Once game is over please pick up your trash and throw it away.

No contact w/parents, family members and friends during the game.

You are here to play baseball/softball. Focus your attention on the game.

Uniform

You are assigned a uniform which consists of a shirt, pants, a pair of socks, belt (if applicable) and hat. If you show up to a game without one of these items you will not be able to play. If any of these items are lost, you will be charged for replacements. Uniform pants are not allowed to be worn for practices.
