Guidance for the week of Vision + Prayer

During the week commencing 27th February we are inviting Christians to join us to spend some time praying and seeking God’s face for all areas of NISCU. Generally, for your area we would like to

ask God for direction and wisdom to know how to best use the resources that we have.

seek where He is working and work with Him.

prayerfully knock on doors that seem closed to us, and ask Him to help us open those

doors

Along with this we have asked your area committees and workers to consider what we can pray for in your area, they have provided some information in the table below, and generally they would like us to:

pray for our local schools, their teachers and head teachers… we really want to see God bless them in all they do.

pray for our children and youth… you know your localities, and areas better than anyone, so let us spend some time asking God to intervene in the lives of those around us, to bring help and support to the families that we know need help, to bring peace to areas that need peace and to bring hope to lives that are struggling to find hope in our society today.

pray for our churches…so that we can engage and work together, supporting each other in providing safe and secure, encouraging spaces for our children and youth to grow and flourish.

How long should I pray for?

There is no fixed amount of time that we are expecting you to pray for. Just come before God, ask Him and tell Him about the concerns that you have and the ones identified below. Also, each day there will be a scripture that you can meditate on and use as a starting point to ask God for wisdom and direction for all NISCU areas.

Can I get in touch with NISCU to ask for specific prayer, or to feedback what I feel God is saying?

Yes, please do! We would love to hear what you are concerned about and what God is saying. There is a submission form on our website where you can post prayer requests, answers to prayer, or tell us what God is saying.

Visit for further details, or post requests to 57, Lancaster Road, Carnforth, LA5 9LE.
