Doggie Palooza Agility Show & Go

The 2nd annual Doggie Palooza, Wilmington, Vermont
LOCATION: Baker’s Field at Twin Valley High School, Wilmington, VT
UNOFFICIAL JUDGE: TBA
PARTICIPANTS: Open to dog and handler teams who have had some agility training. This is an opportunity to try agility in a different setting and is great practice for novice dogs. These are run thrus for fun and training purposes and will not be formally judged.
TREATS, TOYS, JUMP HEIGHT: Handlers may run at ANY jump height they desire and since this is a Show & Go, handlers may use leashes, tabs, food treats, toys and targets as long as there is nothing crumbly left on course that might distract other dogs.
COURSES:
Pre-novice to Advanced level standard courses (nested) in a fully fenced ring.
Courses for each level will include:
* Pre-Novice: Short course 10-12 obstacles, NO see-saw or weave poles.
* Novice 14-16 obstacles including see-saw and weave poles.
* Advanced: 16-20 obstacles, course more difficult.
REGISTRATION: Register to run starting at 8:30am. First run begins at 9:00. Classes are $5/run. You can run the course and practice parts again if you want. You may register for more classes throughout the morning, though be careful not to overdo it with your dog. The purpose is to train, have a positive experience and lots of FUN!
OTHER Doggie Palooza activities starting at 1pm in downtown Wilmington include vendors and various demos such as canine freestyle, the Police K9 unit, nosework, dog first aid, grooming, therapy dog group, agility try-its, pet dog show and blessing of the dogs.
DIRECTIONS: From Brattleboro… Take Rte 9 West (Exit 2 off of I-91) and follow about 20 miles to Wilmington Vt. After gas station and Richards Insurance Group go LEFT onto School St. to Twin Valley High School’s Bakers field. If you get to the one and only traffic light in town, then you have gone too far.
