This study explores the Bible and human sexuality as two essential components of our Christian faith. The Bible is part of the foundation of our faith. Human sexuality is part of who we are as human beings, created by God and called good. This study invites us to explore the complexity of the biblical text and our varied understandings of it in light of human sexuality. Study Leader: Rev. Ellen A. Brubaker

Latin America: People and Faith by Sonia Maria Barbosa Dias (Geographic Study)

This study is an overview of the richness of Latin America and its people for readers on the North American continent. This study explores history, the influence of different religions and faith traditions, current challenges, art, culture and the ongoing contributions of women. Study Leader:Sonya Luna

Climate Justice: A Call to Hope and Action edited by Pat Watkins (Issue Study)

We live on a small blue planet in the midst of a mind-bogglingly huge universe. It is a fragile planet, and it’s the only one we have to call home. Our responsibility is to learn how to live in right relationship with God, each other, and with the earth itself. Study Leader: Nichea VerVeer Guy

COST: The registration cost of Mission u is $65.00 (which includes 3 meals)

(Lodging and breakfast are extra and your responsibility.)

LODGING: Available in area motels. A list/map will be included with your registration confirmation.

SCHOLARSHIPS: Limited scholarships of $35.00 each are available for first time attendees. Contact the registrar for details. Please also see if your local unit will help defray costs.

DEPENDENT CARE: For the third year, dependent care reimbursement is being offered @ $20.00/day – contact the registrar for details. (Includes children & dependent adults.)

RESOURCE TABLE: UMW Reading Program & Mission u study books will be for sale during Mission u. However, it is recommended that study books be purchased (and read!) prior to Mission u, either from District Annual UMW Celebrations or from the Service Center: 1-800-305-9857 or Study books are listed on the other side of this flyer.
