Essex Young Musicians Trust Bursary Application

ESSEX YOUNG MUSICIANS’ TRUST – BURSARY APPLICATION

Essex Young Musicians’ Trust, which is administered by Essex Community Foundation, supports young individuals living in and/or educated in Essex, Southend or Thurrock who are involved in the Essex Youth Orchestras. All applicants must have a place in the Essex Youth Orchestras.

Applicants must inform Essex Music Services that they are in need of financial support – they may be eligible for a County Bursary. EYMT exists to financially assist members of the Essex Youth Orchestra after it is satisfied that Essex County Council has done all that it can to help financially.

Having done that, individuals can apply to EYMT for a bursaryby 14 November. Bursaries available are: full fee bursaries, discretionary awards, tour bursaries and “top up” awards. On completion of this application form, the applicant will be invited to attend an audition and interview. Individuals under the age of 18 must attend with a parent or guardian.

Decisions are taken as quickly as possible, certainly before the next course, in order that Essex Music Services know who can honour their contracts with the Orchestra. Auditions and interviews will be held on 21 November at St Botolphs, Colchester. Further information will be provided once your bursary application is submitted.
