Student Council members will be focusing on the Bully Effect and how positive words can be a powerful weapon in the fight against bullies.

Yes, they really are pencilsmade from rolled sheets of recycled newspaper. Smencilswork the same as any regular pencil, but they smell way better, and they’re good for the environment too!

Student Council will be selling SMENCILS the week of September 26th.SMENCILS will be sold in the front foyer each morning from 7:30-7:50am.

Smencils cost $1 each and come in a variety of flavors: Bubblegum, Cinnamon, Tropical Blast, Grape, Cotton Candy, Very Berry, Black Cherry, Orange, Watermelon and Rootbeer!

Every year the Foundation awards grants to teachers and schools for exciting learning activities that fall outside the school's basic operating budget. From after-school theatre to outdoor science labs, from 'read-instead-of TV' to robotics, these projects exemplify our best teachers encouraging their best students to have the best learning experience possible. We hope you can join us at this year’s golf tournament ~ but if not, all donations are welcomed as they come right back to teachers and students. For information and the entry forms, please visit

Student Council Gift

Our Student Council members from 2010-11 gave Pine Forest Elementary a gift last year prior to leaving. PineForest now has its own flag! Please make sure to view our very own flag when you drive by our school!

Attention Kroger Shoppers

PineForest is participating in the Kroger “Neighbor to Neighbor” Program. To enroll, present your Kroger Plus card along with the customer letter with Pine Forest Elementary’s barcode to your cashier upon checkout. After they have scanned your Kroger Plus Card you will be enrolled for the current year of the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program. Every time you shop at Kroger and use your enrolled Kroger Plus Card, Kroger will contribute a percentage of your eligible purchases to the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation fund. Once a card is scanned with the barcode, it will be active for the remainder of the program year. Please note, that you must re-enroll each year in order for the purchases to be credited to PineForest. As always, we thank you for your support!
