Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences

University of Texas Medical Branch

Galveston, TX

(Initiated Aug. 2011)

Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources

Major: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Oklahoma State University

Stillwater, OK

Graduated May 2011

Research Interest

My long-range interest is genetic engineering and therapy with applications in disease treatment. Currently my focus is diabetic heart disease and investigating how reactivation of embryonic alternative splicing patterns by diabetic conditions may contribute to an increased propensity for cardiac problems.
