POSITION:Raiser’s Edge Database Administrator

Job Summary

The Raiser’s Edge Database Administrator upholds the critical role of maintaining the Raiser’s Edge donor database and tracking all revenue/expenses for the development department at Food Bank for Westchester. Working closely with the Director, Fund Development– the Raiser’s Edge Database Administrator is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of the organization’s Raiser’s Edge database, this position will also be involved with the planning and development of the database as the donor database grows, as well as troubleshooting issues on behalf of the users.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Database Management:

  • Act as Raiser’s Edge Database Administrator for organization.
  • Manage Raiser’s Edge donor database, including maintenance, user accounts, global changes, gift entry, reporting, queries, and data clean-up projects with the goal of providing current, consistent and accurate data.
  • Develop and deliver clear and accurate reporting and tracking vehicles and instructions for reports, dashboards and data extracts.
  • Create and implement up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures for entry and reporting and ensure all entries conform to these procedures.

Event Support:

  • Processalleventsponsorshipsandticketrevenueforevents.
  • Provide on-going and day-of assistance for donor events.

Revenue Reconciliation

  • Process and track all departments pledges and invoices.
  • Generate acknowledgement letters to donors over $1,000
  • Reconcile and close monthly development financials on time.
  • Produce mailing lists, pledge reminders, and donor invoices on a timely basis. Prepare data merges.
  • Develop, run and review timely donor reporting audits to ensure accurate gift entry and acknowledgment.
  • Manage credit card gift processing and document steps, including changes in the organization’s credit card processing.

General Administrative Duties:

  • Providegeneraladministrativesupportforthedepartmentasneeded.
  • Assist part-time Development Assistant that will enter daily gifts and generate acknowledgements. Resume these responsibilities when the Development Assistant is not in the office.

Required Education/Experience

  • BA/BS degree in relatedfield.
  • Minimum one-two years of experience in Raiser’s Edge, preferably as an administrator in a non-profit fundraising environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, and a demonstrated ability to perform mail-merge functions
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment

Required Knowledge/Skills

  • Excellent recordkeeping,writing, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Extremely organized detail oriented and able to keep accurate records and follow up.
  • Ability to act in an entrepreneurialmanner taking initiative, being responsive to new opportunities and create value in the face of obstacles.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and use of a vehicle to travel for Food Bank business.

PhysicalRequirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, and set up a variety of promotional materials including electronics, materials in boxes, and table top screens (weighing up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jack, metal cart, etc.

Working Conditions

  • Working inside a warehouse environment and the Food Bank offices.
  • Working outside in all weather conditions in all Westchester communities
  • Travel throughout the Food Bank for Westchester service area.
  • Ability to work irregular or extended hours.
