VERMILION MINOR HOCKEY 2017 – 2018 REGISTRATION
Registration for the upcoming hockey season is now open. Please read the letter in full as there are some changes to our registration process this year.
Registration will remain open until June 29th, 2017. After this time, players will be accepted only if there is room on the applicable teams. Returning players who register after this date will be charged a $100 late fee.
Cheques can be dropped off to Carla at the Hardy Financial officeor mailed to Vermilion Minor Hockey Box 3365 Vermilion T9X 2B3. Cheques will not be accepted at the Town Office. Fee cheques should be post-dated as per the table below. Please double check the dates on your cheques prior to submitting. If you wish to leave the date spot blank on your bond cheques, we will file these to use for future years eliminating the need for these year to year.
NEW THIS YEAR…ONLINE payment! You will still need to drop off concession, volunteer bond & fundraiser ticket cheques to Carla by JUNE 29th to complete your registration or late fee will apply.
CHEQUES NEED TO BE HANDED IN BY JUNE 29TH OR $100 LATE FEE PER PLAYER WILL APPLY.
post-dated Cheques will be required at the time of registration but will not be deposited until october 1st2017. REGISTRATION IS NOT CONSIDERED COMPLETE UNTIL ALL CHEQUES ARE RECEIVED.
Online registration can be accessed on the registration page of the Vermilion Minor Hockey Association website at for completing the registration are outlined below.
Requirements for registration to be considered complete by JUNE 29THare:
□Completed online registration (which includes participant waiver and FOIP)
□First year atom players – photocopy of birth certificate
□Hockey registration fees (as outlined below)
□Concession shift cheques
- 1 cheque for $200.00 dated December 31, 2017 (or leave blank)
- 1 cheque for $200.00 dated March 31, 2018 (or leave blank)
□Volunteer bond cheque
- 1 cheque per family for $500.00 dated March 31, 2018 (or leave blank)
In addition to registration, please ensure that you are registered for any information updates sent by Vermilion Minor Hockey. This is the Newsletter Signup on Many of us registered for this last year but if you haven’t done this yet, please do so at this time. This is the best way to ensure that you are in the loop for the start of the 2017 – 2018 hockey year. You are also able to enter more that one email as well (ie – work and personal) to ensure that you do not miss any important information.
Mail cheques or drop off to Carla at Hardy Financial office. Please indicate with your payment who the payment is for (best way to do this is to print the receipt from registration process).
For those families who need financial assistance, you can apply to Kidsport. Follow this link to the application form In all cases, we will never discuss any financial or personal information regarding financial assistance to anyone not directly related to funding their transaction.
Players registered with another hockey association for the past year, registrants without computer/email access, Kidsport applicants or for general registration assistance please contact, VMHA registrar, Carla at 780-581-3542 (cell) or email .
Online Registration Step-by-Step Instructions
1)Click on link provided:
a)Account information is the same as you would have used last year to register players. If you are new to VMHA, “create account”. If you forgot your password, click on “forgot your password” – and enter your email. Again this is the email address that you used last year. If you can’t remember your email, contact Carla. DO NOT create a new account if you have previously registered.
2)Select “Register a Participant”
a)If your child is listed under “Previous Registrations”, click “Register” beside their name.
b)In some instances, you may have only some of your children listed under “Previous Registrations”. For the others, use “Register a New Participant”. “Register a New Participant” says “to register someone new that you have not registered in the past”. Please DO NOT create a new registration for any of your children that have played hockey before anywhere in Canada. If you are having trouble finding your child’s name listed, contact Carla for assistance.
3)Choose Registration Type – will only be “participant”.
4)Division Selections – should only have applicable division to the player. If it is the incorrect division, please contact Carla.
5)Registration Package Selection – again it should only be applicable division.
6)Participant Information – Please check your physical address is correct!
a) Parent/Guardian Address – For those families with a box number or RR as your mailing address, you must also add a legal address (whether it is a country or town address) as a physical address. Even if you filled this in last year, please ensure that the information is still in the system and is correct.
i)Select address type
ii)Select if city address or rural address.
b)Fill in any other addresses you require us to have.
c)Contact information
i)Please enter both parent/guardian full names.
ii)Fill out contact numbers & email addresses for all parents/guardians. Even though the email address under participant is the one that is required, this is the one where any information will be sent so please do not enter your child’s email address.
d)Emergency Contact – please list someone other than parent/guardian. Contact Information will be the phone number used to contact this person.
e)“Next”
i)This section will prompt you to fill out any missing mandatory fields you may have missed. Edit to correct and you can move on to the next section.
ii)* Denotes required information
7)Questionnaire – Please fill in the questionnaire below. All fields are mandatory.
8)Waivers – read & digitally sign Vermilion and District Minor Hockey Association as well as Hockey Canada waivers.
9)Fees – Your registration fee will automatically appear.
10) Participants Registration Review – review all the information you entered for any errors.
i)If changes need to be made, click “Back” until you get to the page where the change needs to be made.
ii)If everything is correct click “Checkout” if you are done registering all players in your family OR click “Add to Cart” to go back and register another participant.
11) Checkout – choose your method of payment

12) By returning to the home page after you email or print your receipt, you will see the players you have registered. Under “Actions” click on “Messages” and this will show the payment options for each player.

Once you’re signed-up, follow the steps below to make a payment.
1.Select ‘Vermilion Minor Hockey Association’ to your personal organization list.
·In yourplaypay.caaccount, click ‘my organizations’.
·EnterVermilionin Organization and click ‘Search’.
·SelectVermilion Minor Hockey Associationfrom the returned list and click ‘Next’.
·Enter the full name and level of each player registered (e.g., John Smith-Midget, Becky Smith-Atom).
·Click the ‘Add Organization’ button.
2.You’re now ready to make payments!
·In yourplaypay.caaccount, click ‘my payments’ and then click ‘make a payment’.
·SelectVermilion Minor Hockey Associationfrom the dropdown, enter the payment reason, payment amount, and click ‘Next’.
·Choose from one of four ways to pay. There is a 2.5% convenience fee to pay by credit card. There is no cost to make payments by e-cheque (i.e., direct debit), bank payment or interac e-Transfer.
·You'll be notified by email when your payment is processed.
You’re almost done…. now drop off your cheques to Carla by JUNE 29th or late fee charges of $100/player will be charged!
