60 communities, 24 counties

and 400 Miles of Sales

for a “Shop til you drop” Experience!

It is happening again! The “Antiques, Collectibles and STUFF!” 400 Mile Sale across Kentucky from Paducah to Maysville and back again! This will be the fourthyear for this event and many anticipate it more than quadrupling in number of yard sales setting up along the route. This400 mile 4-day event, which takes place in 60 communities across Kentuckyalong historic Hwy 68/80, is something you will not want to miss!

Last year, people from 32 different states came from as far away as Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Wisconsin, New York and even a number of people from Canada. One of the vendors even sold lawn furniture to a couple from Alaska!

What everyone found upon arriving was 400 miles of friendly people and terrific bargains! Between the historic communities of Cadiz and Elkton, someone purchased a quilt for $3 and sold it a few miles down the road for $120. Another person purchased a signed print for $40 which he knew he could sell for $1,200. The comment most often heard was “This is great! I’ll be back next year!”

But it is not just the buyers who love this event. “Wednesday evening (before the sale even started) I sold $400 worth of “stuff” before I could get my truck unloaded”, said one vendor. An antique shop owner in Paris said she sold more on the first day of the sale than she had previously sold during the entire 4 days the year before. “People were definitely here to shop and buy”, stated another seller who practically sold everything he had the first day and had to go back and get two more truckloads.

With over 200 antique shops along the route, 11 state parks, numerous Civil War sites, museums, original Kentucky crafts and specialty shops located along the route, there is always something to see and do along this historic route. But during these four special days, May 31st , June 1st, 2nd and 3rd this year, there will be hundreds of yard sales offering unbelievable bargains and unique finds and the antique shop ownersand dealers will be having 10%, 25% and even 50% off sales!

Not only will antique collectors be enthralled, there will also be a Bluegrass Festival in Aurora and Civil War Reenactments Saturday and Sunday at the JeffersonDavisMonumentState Park in Fairview. Cadiz and Elkton will have their entire downtown area filled with vendors and yard sales and Auburn will be hosting their annual Antique Engine and Tractor Show. And that is just a few of the events taking place in the western portion of the route. And wait until you hear what’s happening along the remaining 300 miles!

Glasgow will be holding their Annual Highland Games. Rockfield, Edmonton, Greensburg, Lebanon and, of course, Campbellsville, will have huge multi-family yard sales and Harrodsburg will have entire antique shops set up on their front lawns offering unbelievable sales. And there is still much more as one travels further east through Harrodsburg, Paris, BlueLickState Park and Old Washington including great barbecue, live music and a number of small festivals along the way.

Mark your calendars for May 31st – June 3rd this year to come to Kentucky and take a drive through60 historic downtowns, discovering hidden treasures and enjoying special events as well as many unique dining experiences and wonderful B&B’s located along the way. Come rain or come shine, come travel historic Hwy 68-80 for a “shop til you drop” experience.
