Mr.Cluff’s Excursion to Paris and London

MARCH 6 – 17th. 2008.

This March Break 2008 Trip is the 19th year I have taken Abbey students away [see above] and it is guaranteed to be full of experiences that will last a lifetime. The core of this popular programme was designed for a March Break trip in 1996 and repeated it in 2002. Our group found the itinerary fun, informative, and not overly-tiring. This year’s inclusion of AMIENS and NORMANDY should be of particular interest to Grade 12 English students who will be studying Jane Urquhart’s award-winning novel, The Stone Carvers, which deals with the building of the Canadian WW I Memorial at Vimy Ridge . Please look at our itinerary to see the incredible combination of history, sight-seeing, and free-time for discovery that this excursion has in store.

All air and land arrangements are being made by Upper Canada Study Holiday. This company specializes in student excursions and has provided exceptional service to the Loretto Abbey community for more than 30 years. They are registered and fully insured under the Ontario Travel Act.

This trip will span the March Break (Thursday, March 6-Monday March 17, 2008). This is an official school trip, supervised by Mr. and Mrs. Cluff and at least one other teacher, and is being undertaken with permission from the administration of Loretto Abbey and the Director of the Toronto District Catholic School Board. As in past years, Upper Canada Study Holiday and Mr. Cluff are committed to the educational value of this programme and to returning travelers safe, sound, and satisfied. [note the alliteration !!]
