ASU Alumni – Dallas/Ft. Chapter 2013 - 2014 Scholarship Application

Application deadline: received by 5 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013

Scholarship Award Amount: One (1) Scholarship will be awarded at $1000.
This scholarship is non-renewable.

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must:

1.  Be a graduating High School Senior or Transfer student, who is a North Texas resident.

2.  Have a minimum 3.5 GPA (non-weighted)

3.  Have a FAFSA form on file with the ASU Office of Student Financial Assistance

4.  Be admitted to Arizona State for the Fall 2013 semester to attend classes on Tempe, Downtown, Poly or West Campus

Note regarding eligibility: To ensure this award’s maximum benefit is received, students who are granted more comprehensive awards may not be granted these funds and a new recipient may be selected.

Application Procedure

Please submit the following in this order:

All documents should be typed or written in blue or black ink, with the applicant’s name appearing on each document.

Please submit 5 copies of all documents provided in addition to the original.

1.  Completed scholarship application

2.  A type-written statement (maximum 1 page, double-spaced) describing personal & family background, goals for higher education and career goals

3.  Copy of your high school transcript (unofficial copies are acceptable) include current class schedule, ACT/SAT scores, GPA, class rank

4.  Two letters of recommendation, on letterhead, from persons who can attest to potential academic success and character of applicant
