Dear Students,
The council members of Weebeebuilding Town have recently acquired a large island off the east coast of the United States. The island is 100 square miles
(10 x 10 miles). The members of the council would like your assistance in creating a new society on this island. You must work together as a group in order to create a new community that coincides with the knowledge you’ve learned during our entire study of civilization in humanities class.
Your finished project will be a book and should include one page for EACH of the following topics:
- Front Cover: should provide a neat seal or symbol that represents your civilization. Be
sure to neatly place the names of all your group members on the front
cover as well.

- Culture
- Government
- Economy
- Back Cover: can be left blank, but should match the front cover in color.
You will be graded on the effort and participation of the entire group and the final outcome of the project. Please make sure all parts of your civilization make sense together. Each page should be entirely completed with thought and detail. This is your final project for the unit, so you should be proud of the final outcome.
