1.  SP24-2015 - Community Eligibility Provision: Annual Notification and Publication Requirements This USDA Policy Memo was released in the April bulletin.

2.  SP25-2015 - Extension of the Deadline for Local Educational Agencies to Elect the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for School Year 2015-16 This USDA Policy Memo was released in the April bulletin.

3.  SP23-2014(v3) - Questions and Answers Related to the “Smart Snacks” Interim Final Rule (IFR) This USDA Policy Memo was released in the April bulletin.

4.  SP32-2015 - Statements Supporting Accommodations for Children with Disabilities in the Child Nutrition Programs We will be updating our Medical Statement and disbursing it before next school year.

5.  SP33-2015 - Revised Prototype Free and Reduced Price Application Materials: Policy

Changes and Design Overview -This SY 2015-2016 prototype application represents a notable departure from prior versions and reflects modifications to existing policy. This memorandum highlights and explains key changes.

Although USDA has over hauled the Household Application we have decided to stay with the original format. However, we are using their Parent Letter. To obtain the updated copy of the Parent Letter and Application you may use the following link: http://education.alaska.gov/tls/cnp/NSLP2.html.

6.  SP35-2015 - Community Eligibility Provision (CEP): Revised Department of Education Title I Guidance - One important goal of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 (HHFKA) is to ensure that children have access to the nutrition they need to grow into healthy adults. This USDA Policy Memo along with the attachment discusses how CEP sites handle Title I Funding.

·  US Farm-to-School Census Just a reminder to please complete the Farm-to-School Census. The 2015 Census should be completed by every school or district participating in the national school lunch program even if your school or district is not currently involved in farm to school. If you have not already completed the 2015 Census, please complete it today by clicking on the web link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2015F2SCensus and following the directions. Only one response per school or district is needed.
