By the blue boy
Friends told him of her young heart's passion
Down by the sea where the blue waves crash in
She wasn't listening to the sweet words
He wasn't listening to her lying tongue
He was listening to the words being sung
By the blue boy
Oh curse and bless him with the gabardine which surrounds him
See him writhe at the sight of your eyes which repel him
Whoa whoa whoa whoa
She won't be listening to your sweet words
He won't be listening to your lying tongue
He'll be listening to the words being sung
By the blue boy
Whoa whoa blue boy
Whoa whoa blue boy

I Don't Care

You can’t hide your love forever

Falling and laughing

Em D (add g)

You must think me very naïve; taken as true, I only see what I want to see

Em D
Avoid eye contact at all costs. What can I do to see your fine teeth smiling at me

Bm Em A
You might say that we should build a city of tears

All I'm saying is I'm alone and consequently

G A D Fm Em

You say that there's a thousand like you; maybe that's true. I fell for you and nobody else
So I'm standing here so lonesome, what can I do? But learn to laugh at myself
You might say that we should build a city of tears
All I'm saying is I'm alone and consequently
Only my tears satisfy the real need of my heart
I resist

Fa-falling, falling again
Cos I want to take the pleasure with the pain

*A barred C shape with the bass note walking up and down works well here, the A string will almost naturally be muted.

Untitled Melody:

Try playing this with a capo at the 4th fret to be in tune with the record. It’s a bit more faithful and less idiosyncratic than my previous attempt. The open A string gives that lovely pedal note that I could never figure out until now.
