The Regular Meeting of the Schuyler County Hospital District was held in the Classroom at Culbertson Memorial Hospital on Monday,October 27, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. Roll call was as follows:

Lynn Stambaugh, CEO, Alan Palo, CFO, Lisa Downs, Chief Nursing Officer, Tim Ward, Foundation Director, Leah Wilson, Director of QI/RMand Lisa Adams, Executive Assistantwere also present as well as Sarah Pearce with the Rushville Times.

The Board reviewed the minutes from the regular meeting ofSeptember 22, 2016.

Director Petersmade the motion, seconded by DirectorWorthington to approve the minutes. There was no opposition.

Lynn Stambaughgave the Medical Staff report from the meeting of October 19, 2016.

  • Critical lab values were reviewed and will be brought back to the November meeting.
  • Our doctors met with Dr. Goel regarding stress testing.
  • It was reported that 24 hour H&Ps were at 93% for September.
  • The quarterly infection control meeting was reviewed.

Lynn Stambaugh gave the CEO’s report:

  • November 17 is National Rural Health Day. Several hospitals are recognized for “Excellence in Financial Strength and Culbertson is one of those.
  • Dr. Blair passed her internal medicine boards
  • A nice patient comment was read.
  • There were no delinquent records.

Leah Wilson did an HCAHPS presentation.

Alan Palo gave the financial report for September. Gross revenue for the month was $2,937,481.41. After contractuals and deductions, the net operating revenue was $1,734,131.27. Expenses for the month were $1,844,606.32, leaving an operating loss of $110,475.05. After the addition of non-operating revenue and expenses of $95,634.64, there was a net loss of $14,840.41.

On a year to date basis, there was an operating loss of $187,902.35. After the addition of non-operating revenue and expenses there was a net income of $77,009.62.

The balance sheet showed cash had increased approximately $496,000. Accounts receivable increased slightly.

The Finance Committeepresented the Tax Levy Ordinance.

Director Walters made the motion, seconded by Director Snyder to approve the Tax Levy Ordinance. Vote as follows:

Director Walters made the motion, seconded by Director Peters to purchase carpet for the EHTC in the amount of $14,716.60 from Lauderback Carpet in Beardstown, contingent on warranty and grade of carpet. Vote as follows:

Tim Ward announced the Chicken Noodle Dinner will be November 11 from 5pm to 7pm The Donor Appreciation event will be November 15 starting at 6pm at the Phoenix. Culbertson Gardens has one vacancy and there is a showing next week.

Lynn Stambaugh mentioned that Mobile Meals has 65 – 66 meals going out Monday through Friday and they are in need of volunteers.

Having no further business to discuss, Director Worthington made the motion to adjourn at 7:10p.m. There was no opposition.
