DON’T GET LOST IN EUROPE FOR AS LITTLE AS $29 A DAY!
Citroen has solved the two major problems of holiday driving in Europe, the cost and getting lost, with the launch of its 2005 DriveEurope programme offering a car in Europe from as little as $29 a day and the latest satellite navigation system available in selected models across the range at no extra cost.
And, to launch the programme for 2005, Citroën is also offering a range of earlybird offers of up to nine free days on selected models booked before 31 March 2005.
The French car maker’s tourist car programme has also got the car rental companies beaten in a host of other areas. For a start Citroën DriveEurope vehicles are fully covered for use in 45 countries not just across Europe, but also including Turkey, Morocco, Iceland, Israel, Iran, and Ukraine, making a truly epic Europe holiday not just possible, but also easy and low cost.
Insurance is another major area of complaint for car rental companies, what with high insurance excess and the add-on cost to reduce it. Citroën take the simple route: total elimination. With Citroën DriveEurope there is no excess and no extra charges for insurance, it’s all included in the one upfront cost.
Another bugbear with the traditional car rental company is arriving to collect your car and finding it is not what you ordered or require for your holiday. With Citroën DriveEurope, not only is there the widest range of models and versions, more than 30 to choose from, what you order is what you get, down to model and specific version, and even options such as fitted child seats, snow chains, roof racks and tow bars are also available.
DriveEurope enables its customers to order a vehicle that very specifically meets their travel needs. The range opens with the Citroën C3, includes the open top C3 Pluriel, the brand new Citroën C4 hatch and coupe, the compact people mover Xsara Picasso and the range of C5 luxury sedans and wagons. Including the Xsara Picasso, there are no fewer than five different people movers, including the small Citroën Berlingo Modutop, the compact Xsara Picasso, the luxurious Citroën C8, the five to nine seat Citroën Jumpy and positively generous Jumper with nine seats and huge boot. Across the range there is a choice of petrol and, an important factor in Europe where petrol is up to three times the Australian price, diesel, as well as manual and automatic gearboxes.
Again, unlike a normal rental car, every Citroën DriveEurope car is brand new. No worries about what the last renter did to or in your holiday car! Every car is comprehensively insured, kilometres are unlimited, there are no extra charges for additional drivers, 24 hour road side assistance included and service support is available in 15,000 centres across Europe.
Citroën Drive Europe has even eliminated the demands of ploughing through paperwork minutes after landing from the 24 hour flight because all paper work is completed in Australia before departure. No hard to complete forms, no demands for extra money. Arrive at more than 30 locations across France or, at an extra cost, nine other pick-up points across Europe, collect the keys and hit the road.
And if the lure of Europe proves too much, Citroën DriveEurope will even allow you to extend your visit once you have arrived!
To launch the 2005 Citroën DriveEurope programme, Citroën Australia has added a range of additional bonus offers. Earlybird bookings made before the 31 March 2005 mean seven free days for Citroën C3 and C4 models and nine free days for the Citroën Xsara Picasso, C5 and C8 models. There’s even a loyalty bonus for previous customers of three extra free days.
“The Citroën DriveEurope really has got the traditional ways of getting on the road in Europe beaten,” says Miles Williams, General Manager of Citroën Australia. “We ensure that you get the vehicle that is exactly what you want, at the price you know you want to pay with no hidden extras. DriveEurope gives you a freedom to wander Europe, and even beyond, secure and safe in knowledge that Citroën has support and roadside assistance in all participating countries. It is no wonder, therefore, that our DriveEurope programme has expanded rapidly to the point where Australian visitors to Europe use the scheme more than any other country.”
