Position:Director of Children’s Ministries (birth – 6th grade)(20-30 hours/week)
Accountable to:Senior Pastor
Responsible for:Overall Leadership of Children’s Ministries
- Vision and plan new ways to reach children and families
- Recruit and train children’s ministry volunteers
- Children’s Ministry budget and business issues
- Provide clear, effective, and timely communication of all children’s education information
- Supervise Children’s Ministries Staff
- Supervise Preschool Director
Oversee the Children’s Pathway programming
- Leadership in monthly, annual and seasonal events/programming
- Trips, retreats, and special events
- Family missions programming and assist with events
- Partner with other ministries to provide programs for families
Oversee the Sunday morning core programming (The Ride)
- Development and maintenance of Sunday morning curriculum, including Third Grade Bible program annually
- Plan new ways to reach children and families, i.e. live streaming, family devotions
- Oversee annual registration process and maintain database
Additional Responsibilities
- Active participant of Lead Team
- Be available to children and families as needed
- Integrate the children’s education program within the total ministry of FCUMC
- Additional relevant responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Pastor

EducationBachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or proven experience in Children’s Ministries
