COLONEL KEVIN W. GLASZ
Colonel Kevin W. Glasz is appointedas Brigade Commander for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and the approximately 1,300 uniformed personnel assigned. He is the senior military representative at the University and serves as a member of the executive leadership team for the University President. Prior to this assignment, he was the Chief of the Health Support Division and Command Administrator at Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Office of the Command Surgeon. In his capacity as Command Administrator he was a member of the Senior MSC Council and represented AFSPC and USAFA MSC officers at the MSC developmental team meetings. Col Glasz maintains a close working relationship with Army, Marine, Navy, Air Forceand US Public Health Service staff to ensure optimal resourcing levels are available to accomplish the mission at USUHS.
Colonel Glasz was born in Bangor, Maine and graduated from Harry A. Burke High School in Omaha, Nebraska. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska in 1986. Colonel Glasz earned a Master of Healthcare Administration Degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond, Virginia in 1995 as part of the Air Force Institute of Technology program. While attending graduate school, he completed two internships, one with Medical College of Virginia Associated Physicians outpatient treatment facility, and the other with Henrico Doctor’s Columbia/HCA Hospital. Colonel Glasz is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and is a Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) by the American Society of Military Comptrollers.
