POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

VICE PRESIDENT – INSTITUTIONAL COMPLIANCE

Applications and nominations are invited for outstanding candidates to assume a position of Vice President – Institutional Compliance for the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS).

TRACS is recognized by both the United States Department of Education, and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, as a national accrediting body for Christian institutions, colleges, universities, and seminaries. TRACS is also a member of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education. TRACS is a voluntary, non-profit, self-governing organization that provides accreditation to Christian postsecondary institutions offering associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degrees.
TRACS was established in 1971 to promote the welfare, interests, and development of postsecondary institutions, whose mission is characterized by a distinctly Christian purpose, as defined in our Foundational Standards. TRACS encourages each institution to develop its own distinctives, while providing quality postsecondary education within the context of spiritual development. TRACS institutions place emphasis on high academic standards as well as Christian values.
Today, TRACS provides academic accreditation to many of America's finest Christian institutions of higher learning.

Under the direction of the TRACS President, this vice-presidency offers an opportunity to serve and guide institutions through the accreditation process with one of the leading accrediting agencies in the nation. TRACS has always been viewed as an accrediting agency which mentors institutions through each step. Duties include the following:

·  serving, along with other vice-presidents as a vital member of the leadership team,

·  making initial contact with institutions,

·  providing workshops on the accreditation process,

·  serving on the Application Review Committee,

·  regularly communicating with institutions,

·  monitoring progress of institutions as they move toward Candidacy and/or Accreditation,

·  making staff visits to institutions,

·  setting up accreditation visiting teams,

·  serving as staff resource on accreditation visiting teams,

·  reviewing substantive change requests,

·  participating in the institutional Quality Compliance Review process,

·  other duties as assigned.
