Canonization of Mother Teresa: On 4th September 2016 Pope Francis will canonize Mother Teresa as a saint of the Roman Catholic Church.

To coincide with this wonderful event there will be some reading material on Blessed Mother Teresa at the back of the Church.

Adorationin the Parish Centre begins again Thursday 8th September.

Weekly Adoration in Montiagh on Monday 10.30am to 11.30am.

The Holy Rosary is said in the Church every evening: Sunday- Friday 6-30pm, Saturday at 5-15pm. (Except Thursdays). Everyone most welcome.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is recited on Monday and Friday evenings at 7pm at the Divine Mercy Shrine in St. Joseph’s Church.

St. Maximilian Kolbe’s relics will visit Ireland on October 1-2, 2016 at the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Fairview, Dublin. St. Maximilian was a Franciscan who died in the World War II concentration camp in Auschwitz, Poland.

St Joseph’s Hall: There will be a meeting of the Hall Management Committee, the Youth Club Management Committee and the Trustees of Ederney Youth Club on Monday, 5th September, 2016 @ 8pm in the Pastoral Centre, to discuss current management structures and the future running of the hall.

Message from Mrs. Lilley: Marie Lilley expresses a big big thank you to all who made her celebration Mass and presentation so very very enjoyable. I had a brilliant night but I do not wish to thank anyone in particular as you were all special to me on Friday night. I was thrilled to see so many people coming towards me with arms outstretched and to hear their words of congratulations and good wishes. I have been happy working among you and for you and I hope to have a few years left to continue. Again many thanks to those who worked behind the scenes and to those who were present. God Bless all.

Sr. Muriel’s Sponsored Walk: In July the organisers of the sponsored walk (2nd April 2016) Leontia Martin, Mac McKervey and Mairead McGarrity handed over €3,050 to Sr. Muriel of St. Joseph the Worker to help the poor and destitute in Bosnia. Also on the same day Monica Monaghan presented Sr. Muriel with €1,000 on behalf of her son Martin Monaghan (the Mace Ederney) who completed a sponsored cycle. Sr. Muriel was overwhelmed by the amount of money raised. Everyone who contributed or helped in anyway was remembered in the Mass and prayers in Medjugjorje.

The 3As Charity Cycle: will begin at St Eugene’s Hall, Dregish at 12noon on 11th September. There are 2 cycle routes, Route 1(30 miles), Route 2 (20 miles) Registration 11.15am-11-45am. Entry £10 per person. Further details
