TRIP TO TREYARNON BAY CORNWALL

THURSDAY 23RD APRIL – FRIDAY 24TH APRIL 2015

We are hoping to run a 2 day trip to Treyarnon Bay, Cornwall for the Year 2s.

Children should have received letters with a proposed itinerary. If you would like another copy of the letter or would like your child to attend please sign the slip at the bottom of the letter with a deposit of £20.00 The remaining £20.00 will be due by Tuesday 10th March .

DEVON COUNTY JUNIOR CHOIR

The Devon County Junior Choir (DCJC) has been running for many years now in Exeter.

Singers in the choir meet for weekly rehearsals in term time and sing a wide variety of music with lots of performing opportunities.

The people who run the DCJC are thinking about setting up a similar choir for children in North Devon. They are holding a workshop to gauge how much interest there is in setting up a North Devon regional branch of the choir.

The North Devon taster session will take place on:

Saturday 18th April at St Peter and St Mary Magdalene Church, Barnstaple

1.30pm Registration & Workshop – led by Rachel Smith (Conductor of DCJC and Chivenor Military Wives Choir)

4.00pm Short Concert for parents of the children involved.

4.15pm Opportunity for completing questionnaires, asking questions.

4.30pm Finish

This will be a fantastic opportunity for children who love to sing to take part in a free workshop.

RECORDER KARATE BELT

Well Done to Ayla, Brooke, Jayden, Andrew, Riley, Lily, Brinley, Leo, Logan, Ellie and Natan for passing their yellow recorder karate belt and to Ebony, Abi S, Poppy, Archie, Zack, Aleshia, Alanta, Violet, Brooke, Natalia, Evie May for passing their purple recorder karate belt

UNWANTED LEGO

Lunch Club require some lego and K’nex for the children to play with any quantity large or small would be greatly appreciated. If you have any you don’t need, please pass it into the school office.

FIRST AID

Can parents/carers please be aware that we will now be using hypo-allergenic plasters. Please let school know if this causes any concerns.

RED NOSE DAY
