The meeting of the Village of Roanoke Joint Zoning & Planning Board was called to order by Board ChairmanDaraban at 6:30 p.m.

Chairman Daraban asked for additions/corrections to the minutes of the previous meeting (10/9/17). Board MemberFordmade a motion to approve the previous minutes as written; BoardMemberGerdesseconded.

- ZONING OFFICER REPORT
Chairman Daraban asked Zoning Officer Haney to provide his monthly report of issues or concerns for the Board. Zoning Officer Haney reported on the following items:
Building Permits and related issues:
Permit #2017-27 issued to Tony Bond, 605 St. Mary, 10’ x 22’ storage shed; granted
- Special Use Permits:
Zoning Officer Haney reported that holders of permitted special use renewals are not required to pay annual fees. Zoning Officer Haney will be discussing the possibility of refunding any annual fees paid with the village attorney.

- Board Matters:
NEW BUSINESS:
The Roanoke IGA has started leasing U-Haul, which is not allowed in B-1. Current ordinances do not allow a Special Use permit for this type of business in B-1. This type of business is allowed in B-2. Rezoning is an option. Another possibility might be a special use permit. Chairman Daraban will follow-up with the village attorney in regards to options.
