Activities:
Anticipatory Set: Students will begin filling in a chart of key battles of the Revolution thus far.

2. Students will complete “I Say” statements to show connection to the material.
3. Students will complete a left side reflection of choice.

Students will continue to fill in a map of key battles of the Revolution thus far. / Activities:

As part of an ongoing class graph, students will post their answer to the DBQ: Valley Forge: Would you have quit?” Students will be able to move their names in the coming weeks as they obtain more information via documents.
1. Teacher will lead the discussion for the “Hook Exercise”.
2. With their reading partner, students will be asked to read the information and answer the follow-up questions.
3. If time allows, partners will begin reading the background essay and answer the follow-up questions.
