Keeping our children safe on Prom Night!

Your child will soon be receiving an invitation to the 5th Annual Promapalooza, on Sunday, May 7th at Hahnville High School Gymnasium. This event begins at 1:00 A.M and continues until 3:30 A.M. Check in time begins at 12:30 A.M immediately following Prom. Promapalooza is designed to be a safe, chaperoned, and alcohol and drug free event, as well as exciting and fun for your child. In order to provide this environment for your child, Promapalooza has some very important information for you.

  2. All HHS Juniors and Seniors are welcome! They do not have to attend the HHS Prom in order to attend Promapalooza.
  3. HHS students who are not a Junior or Senior, but are the date of a Junior or Senior may attend Promapalooza with their date, provided they also attend HHS’s Prom.
  4. Non-HHS students may attend Promapalooza only if they have attended HHS Prom with a HHS Junior or Senior. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  1. How does my child purchase a ticket to Promapalooza?
  2. Promapalooza guidelines and permission slips will be available for pick up in the main office beginning Monday, March 20, 2017.
  3. The $5.00 (cash only, no checks accepted) per person ticket will be available for purchase in front of the office during all three lunch periods on April 11,12, 13 and April 26, 27, and 28. The Promapalooza rules are outlined on the back of the letter. We ask that you review these rules with your child and encourage him or her to follow these guidelines. The rules are designed to keep your child safe. We have an arrival lock in time of 1:00. Please stress to your child that we do not want them driving fast and irresponsibly to make the lock in deadline!

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer at Promapalooza please contact committee members at the numbers listed below. All volunteers MUST be pre-registered in order to work at the event. A chairperson contacting you will serve as your pre-registration.
