This permit is issued subject to the rules and regulations of the Recreation and Park Board of the Borough of Lansdowne attached to this permit. Any violation of these rules and regulations could lead to suspension of this permit.
The Borough assumes no liability for bodily injuries and or property damage incurred by individual members of groups that are utilizing Borough facilities for their respective activities.

WAIVER FOR USE OF BOROUGH PARKS
In consideration of the receipt of the permit and other good and valuable consideration and for accepting the permit, the permit holder and other persons using or occupying the park under the authority of this permit do hereby:
(1) waive, release and discharge the Borough of Lansdowne, its officers, agents, servants and employees from any and all claims, damages, demands, causes of actions and suits whatsoever arising out of or in any way connected with the use, misuse or occupancy of the park, including but not limited to any negligence of the Borough of Lansdowne, its officers, agents, servants or employees or to any condition, facility or equipment in or on the park.
(2) promise to indemnify and hold harmless the Borough of Lansdowne, its officers, agents, servants and employees from any and all claims, damages, demands, cause of actions and suits whatsoever by any person whatsoever arising out of or in any way connected with the use, misuse or occupancy of the park under the permit or the activities of the permit holder and all persons using or occupying the park under this permit or in any way connected with any negligence of the Borough of Lansdowne, its officers, agents, servants or employees, or to any condition, facility or equipment in the park.

-Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in any public areas within the Borough of Lansdowne, with the exception of “The Landing” located in Borough Parking Lot No. 1.
-Music volume must not impair the quality of life in surrounding residential areas. If music volume is deemed inappropriate, your group may be asked to leave the park.
-Moon Bounces and inflatables are not permitted in any public areas, within the Borough of Lansdowne.

Rules and Regulations Governing Lansdowne Parks
An ordinance of the Borough of Lansdowne establishing rules and regulations applicable to all park areas owned and/or operated by the Borough of Lansdowne, Delaware County, Pennsylvania and providing penalties for violations.
The Borough Council or the Borough of Lansdowne, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, does hereby enact and ordain:
§ 235-1. Hours of operation.
Lansdowne park areas are open to the public between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. during the summer season, and between 8:00 a.m. and sundown during the remainder of the year unless longer use is authorized by a special permit.
§ 235-2. Hazardous conditions.
Any borough park that becomes hazardous for public use due to weather, water, fire or other conditions may be closed at the discretion of the Park Board.
§ 235-3. Prohibited acts.
The following actions are prohibited:
A. Possession or use of alcoholic beverages or narcotics.
B. Boisterous, immoral or indecent conduct.
C. Discarding of trash, garbage or other litter, except into containers provided by the borough for that purpose for picnickers.
D. Damaging, defacing or destroying or removing any property, building, sign, structure, equipment or other material; driving nails or other hardware into trees.
E. Posting of signs, distributing, selling, servicing or renting of any supplies, equipment, material or commodity whatsoever or soliciting for any purpose, without written authorization.
F. Operating, stopping or parking of any vehicles, except in designated parking areas.
G. Operating any vehicle on roads adjacent to parks in a reckless or negligent manner, in excess of the posted speed limit or in such a manner as to endanger other park users or in violation of laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any borough ordinance.
H. Discharge of any type of firearm, bows and arrows, air guns, slingshots or fireworks.
I. Hunting, trapping and the training of dogs.
J. Camping, picnicking and all fires, except in designated areas and facilities.
K. Ball playing or horseshoe pitching, except in designated areas.
L. Pets except when kept on a leash not exceeding six feet in length and attended at all times and only in conformity with all borough ordinances relating to control of animals. Editor's Note: See Ch. 129, Animals.
M. All groups or gatherings of 20 persons or more except when granted a permit by the Park Board.
N. The operation of any type of motor vehicle, such as minibikes, snowmobiles, motorcycles or any vehicle with a motor attached, in any of the parks.
O. Operation of model airplanes or other motorized model equipment unless authorized by the Park Board.
P. Abandoning of any motor vehicle or the repairing of any motor vehicle on park land or on motor vehicle parking facilities.
§ 235-4. Violations and penalties.

Any person violating any of the above rules and regulations shall upon conviction thereof before a District Justice, be subject to a fine of not more than $600, plus costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days.
ADDENDUM FOR LANSDOWNE LANDING USE ONLY
Ordinance No. 1307
ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 235 (PARKS AND RECREATION) TO REVISE THE HOURS DURING WHICH THE PARK TO BE LOCATED WITHIN THE LANSDOWNE AVENUE PARKING LOT SHALL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND PERMITTING THE POSSESSION AND USE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN SUCH PARK DURING OPEN HOURS; AND AMENDING CHAPTER 120 (ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES) TO PERMIT THE POSSESSION AND USE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN SUCH PARK DURING OPEN HOURS
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the Borough Council of the Borough of Lansdowne as follows:
Section 1. Amendment of Chapter 235 (Parks and Recreation) of the Code of the Borough of Lansdowne.
A.§235-1 of the Code of the Borough of Lansdowne is hereby amended to read as follows (new language underlined):
Ҥ235-1. Hours of operation.
Lansdowne park areas are open to the public between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. during the summer season, and between 8:00 a.m. and sundown during the remainder of the year unless longer use is authorized by a special permit. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the park located in Borough Parking Lot No. 1 (between Lansdowne Avenue and Owen Avenue) shall be open between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
B. §235-3.A of the Code of the Borough of Lansdowne is hereby amended to read as follows (new language underlined):
§235-3. Prohibited acts. The following actions are prohibited:
A.Possession or use of alcoholic beverages or narcotics; provided, however, that the possession and use of alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park located in Borough Parking Lot No. 1 (between Lansdowne Avenue and Owen Avenue) during the hours in which such park is open pursuant to §235-1 above.
ADDENDUM FOR LANSDOWNE LANDING USE ONLY
Section 2. Amendment of Chapter 120 (Alcoholic Beverages) of the Code of the Borough of Lansdowne. §120-2 of the Code of the Borough of Lansdowne is hereby amended to read as follows (new language underlined):
§120-2. Prohibited acts.
It shall be unlawful for any person to willfully consume in or upon public ways or places with the Borough of Lansdowne any beverage containing any percentage of alcohol whatsoever, except that it shall not be illegal for (i) a customer or patron of any restaurant or farmers market whose operator holds a sidewalk or outdoor café dining permit issued pursuant to Chapter294of the Code of the Borough of Lansdowne to consume alcoholic beverages entirely within the area designated for sidewalk or outdoor café dining in such permit; or (ii) any visitor to the the park located in Borough Parking Lot No. 1 (between Lansdowne Avenue and Owen Avenue) during the hours in which such park is open pursuant to Chapter 235 (Parks and Recreation) §235-1 of this Code
Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any inconsistency.
Section 4. Severability. If any clause, sentence, paragraph or part of this Ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, shall for any reason be adjudged by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remainder of this Ordinance nor the application of such clause, sentence, paragraph or part to other persons or circumstances, directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered. It is hereby declared to be the legislative intent that this Ordinance would have been adopted had such provisions not been included or such persons or circumstances been expressly excluded from their coverage.
Section 5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be effective immediately.
