Main theme of the country visit:
·  Dutch Health Care System; getting more information of the Dutch social- and health care system from the managers point of view
Activity: Study Tour of three days to the Netherlands of 22 Finnish Students of the Professional Development (PD) Training Program on Health and Social Care Management
Lectures:
·  Trends and key aspects of The Dutch health and welfare policy
·  The Dutch reforms of health and welfare care system (policy, finance, delivery, role of clients)
·  How decision making and steering is organized in Dutch insurance system, e.g. primary health care, GB’s
·  What has happened after last reform changes (Health Insurance Act, Social welfare act - goals and implications)
·  Role of NGO’s, churches and other charitative institutions in public health functions, elderly care and social services, mental health services
·  The Dutch model - Borderlines between services, integrated services, integrated care, seamless services, integrated care pathways
Field visits:
·  Integrated Primary care including
o  Elderly care
o  Integrated local child and youth and family care
o  Social care
Issues related to field visits:
·  social care system (home help, home nursing help, social work for families...). All participants are from sector of primary care (both health and social)
·  administration and management, who is financing and what.
·  organizations (foundations) which are beyond the health sector
·  Some Dutch "specialities" - drug policy would be interesting... Perhaps to visit to coffee shop...
·  Self help or client empowerment: for example EPP (expert patient programme etc.)
