2015 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS OF BEACH ULTIMATE
CANADIAN PROGRAM
Introduction
Ultimate Canada will be sending teams to the 2015 World Championships of Beach Ultimate (WCBU) taking place in Dubai, UAE, on March 8-13, 2015. UC will be sending teams in the open, women’s, mixed and masters divisions. There is a possibility of mixed masters, women’s masters and grandmasters teams if there is significant interest. Below is some important information regarding the application process.

-There is a substantial cost involved in competing and limited financial assistance available.
-All applicants must be Ultimate Canada Registered Competitive Athletes in good standing
Selection Method
The selection of teams representing Canada at the 2015 WCBU will be done on an individual basis by paper application only. This selection process has two parts.
PART 1: SELECTORS
Applicants may apply to become team selectors for the 2015 WCBU in one or more divisions. In addition to selecting the team, the selectors will also be members of the team act as initial captain/coaches to choose the teams. They will also be members of the team that they are a selector for. There will be 1-3 selectors chosen per team. Applications to become a selector will be reviewed by a selection committee appointed by the Ultimate Canada competition committee.
How to apply:
A)In order to be eligible to apply for the role of selector, an applicant must be a 2014 Ultimate Canada Registered Competitive Athlete in good standing. This requires that they have filled out the 2014 UC waiver and paid their 2014Registered Competitive Athlete fees online. This can be done by logging on to your UC account at:
B)Fill out the selector application and submit it by May 16, 2014.

April 30: Applications posted
May 16: Applications are due
May 30: Selectors are chosen
PART 2: Player Applications
Player applications will be available once selectors are chosen. Player applications will be made available by early June.
