Purpose for an Interactive Math Notebook (IMN)

Mrs. McNabb’s Sixth Grade Math Class

The IMN:

1. Helps students organize sixth grade math notes and thoughts.

2.  Houses home enrichment assignments and all graded assignments.

3.  Is a good resource to study for tests and improve math study skills.

4.  Addresses varied learning styles in and out of the classroom.

5.  Will indicate concept/skill’s ability level.

6.  Houses revisions.

7.  Will be a resources for parents to view math learning.

8.  Is a portfolio that track math growth over time.

Mrs. McNabb’s math students will maintain an IMN for the entire school year.

The Interactive Notebook uses a right side and left side to help you organize your learning.
