Contractual Agreement
This is a legally-binding contract/ agreement for the ownership of one rottweiler puppy.

Purchase price of said puppy $______to be paid in full before said puppy is released to buyer. Seller has the right to cancel this agreement and retain all monies if said puppy’s full purchase price is not received by the time the puppy is released. The name on the litter registration must be the same as it appears on this contract!
It is acceptable to pay the initial deposit in the form of a personal check. The outstanding balance must be paid in cash or guaranteed funds by the pick up date or by six weeks if puppy is being shipped. We do not accept checks for final payment for any reason. This is not a reflection on you; it is to protect us from those who are not so honest.
It is mutually agreed by both parties that the puppy may be picked up no sooner than 7 weeks if puppy is being picked up at our home. Puppies being shipped must be held until 8 weeks of age.
There is an additional charge of $300.00 required to ship your puppy via air. Included in this price are health certificate, vet check, and travel approved kennel for you to keep
1.) This puppy is being sold as a Pet quality/ non breeding Rottweiler. This puppy is being sold on a limited registration. An AKC limited registration is an option given to breeders through AKC. Limited registered puppies are registered in the AKC breed registry and you will receive your AKC registration certificate. However, a limited registered dog will be denied registration of any offspring by the American Kennel Club and is not permitted to be shown in an AKC breed show. You can show your limited dog in Obedience, tracking, agility, and herding. For a complete listing of events that your dog can perform in visit www.akc.org . Said puppy must be spayed/ neutered before 8 months of age, with veterinarian’s verification sent to seller. If said puppy is used for breeding purposes seller, von Landschaf Rottweilers , will be paid $2,000 by buyer and seller will execute right to repossess. If the dog is a bitch, litter will be turned over to the seller without any monies returned to buyer. ______
2.) This puppy is being sold as a Show/breeding/ or working prospect. The purpose of this agreement is to protect and preserve the rottweiler as a purebred dog in all aspects (health, conformation, and performance). If said Rottweiler develops hip dysplasia, evidenced by OFA evaluation, by 24 months of age Landschaft Rottweiler’s will offer replacement puppy credit to equal quality litter. It is buyers’ responsibility to provide transportation and all other costs for replacement puppy. Puppy will not be replaced until said Rottweiler is spayed/neutered with proof sent to seller along with AKC registration papers. Buyer agrees to not breed said rottweiler before it is (2) years old and has been OFA certified (fair, good, or excellent on hips) and OFA certified clear of any heart conditions. Buyer also agrees to not breed said rottweiler until he or she has passed a performance test such as but not limited to BH, CD, CGC, BST, any working title or he or she has achieved a conformation title or has “V” rated twice at a sieger show (with over 100 entries). Landschaft Rottweiler’s will be more than happy to provide assistance with showing of said rottweiler free of charge. Buyer agrees to keep seller informed on all accomplishments from said Rottweiler. Buyer also agrees to breed said Rottweiler to a mate meeting the same standards that we have listed for said Rottweiler along with a temperament test, breed test or CGC. When searching for mate Landschaft rottweiler is more than happy to help with research of potential mate. Buyer agrees that no puppies derived from said Rottweiler will be sold to pet stores, farms, wholesale facilities, or to homes with purposes clearly to make money. Buyer agrees to screen homes thoroughly and limit all puppies’ registrations except puppies that are placed in show and working homes derived from said Rottweiler’s breeding. ______
Landschaft Rottweilers warrants that puppy is in good health upon time of transfer. Your puppy has been given its first set of vaccines and has been dewormed on a regular schedule. Buyer agrees to continue vaccination schedule provided by seller no later than the dates given. If your puppy does not maintain schedule listed below on these dates this contract is null and void! Your puppy’s health and well being are first priority. Your puppy should not be taken to facilities or places where other pets roam (pet stores, parks, boarding and or grooming facilities, training centers and so forth) until puppy has finished vaccine series. Buyer agrees to maintain said puppy on monthly Interceptor (heartworm preventative), flea and tick preventative, and all annual vaccinations (schedule provided below). All warranties are voided if schedule (listed below) is not continued on time.______
Your puppy has already been given its six week set of vaccines and has been dewormed several times prior to leaving. This schedule will be provided to be given to your veterinarian. Your puppy will need:
*** If you are in an area where there are tick populations then you will need a series of Lymes vaccinations. Speak with your veterinarian to schedule these vaccines in with schedule below. Also most vet clinics do provide puppy care packages that include all vaccines and so forth.
9 and 12 weeks: DHLPP vaccine (Canine Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, and Leptosprosis), fecal, and deworming with Drontal plus.
15 weeks: DHLPP+CV (Canine Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, Lepto, and Corona Virus), Rabies and Bordetella
18 weeks: DHLPP+CV, Bordetella, fecal, and dewormed with Drontal plus
Monthly care: Your puppy will need to be maintaining on proper weight size of Interceptor (heartworm preventative) and Advantix (flea and tick preventative). DO NOT use flea preventative from department/ grocery stores, and pet stores i.e. hartz products and so forth. We only recommend Bayer (advantix) and Merial (frontline) products. The other medicine can cause severe reactions, although not on their labels, and even death.
Every 6 months: Bordetella and Exam
Yearly care: Vaccines DHLPP+CV, Lymes and fecal, second rabies will be due and then every three years
Buyer agrees that he/she is not acting as an agent for other individuals, wholesale facility, pet store and so forth. Said puppy will reside at said owners home. Said puppy shall not be tethered outside. Said puppy shall not be kenneled outside as its main way of living. ______
Buyer agrees to keep said puppy on a proper well maintained high quality diet. Diet should be directed for large breed dogs. We suggest and use Purina Pro Plan Large breed puppy. Our adults rotate between Purina Pro Plan Chicken and Rice and Purina Pro Plan Large breed adult. If you have questions about your dog’s diet let me know. Owner also agrees to keep said puppy in a good weight bracket. Owner agrees to not let said puppy get over/under weight. ______
Buyer agrees to restrict vigorous or uncontrolled activity (agility, jumping, and so forth) and exercise of said puppy until he or she is at least 15 months old. Your puppy will need controlled exercise on a daily basis (running, playing and going on walks). No jumping on or off things that are taller than your puppy’s height at the shoulders. Your puppy is still growing and maturing. Buyer also agrees to not let said puppy ride on the back of vehicles. ______
Buyer agrees to completely socialize said puppy. Socializing your puppy is the stepping stones to a well behaved and stable minded dog. This is one of the most important things that you will do with your puppy. We suggest doing a puppy kindergarten class. Puppy should not be entered until he or she is 15 weeks old and has had 3 sets of vaccines. We also suggest taking a CGC (canine good citizen) class. Upon completion/ passing this you will receive a certificate title with AKC. We will provide you with some information on this in your puppy package. You can also get more information directly from the AKC website www.AKC.org ______
Buyer agrees to keep Landschaft Rottweilers informed on said puppies progress and accomplishments! Buyer agrees to send picture at 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, and 24 months. ______
Von Lanschaft will be given first right of refusal of said puppy at any age if the owner for any reasons has to give up or place said puppy. No questions asked! ______
The buyer releases Landschaft Rottweiler from all liabilities and damages caused by said Rottweiler. Any and all court fees and attorney fees derived from failure to comply with the terms of this contract will be assumed by said buyer.
By signing this contractual agreement both parties agree to the terms of this agreement and agree to protect and assure said puppies/ dogs well being.
