RE:Worklife PulseSurvey – Medical Staff Members Survey

In early November,PHSA will launch the Worklife Pulse Survey to assess the quality of worklife culture. The survey will “take the pulse” of the work lives across PHSA and the results will give leaders important data from which to begin and continue conversations about “how do we do this better?”

In order to improve the survey questions’ relevance, Accreditation Canada introduced two Worklife Pulse Survey Tools, a staff version and a medical staffversion. Not to be misled by the title, the Physician Worklife Pulse Survey Tool is applicable to all medical staff includingphysicians, midwives, dentists, and scientific & research members across PHSA.

Every medical staff member is an integral part of assessing and supporting healthy workforce wellbeing – their input can help drive positive change across PHSA.During the first week of November, medical staff members will receive emails with unique survey links from the Medical Staff Office. Please share/post this memo and encourage your members to take a few minutes and complete the survey.

ABOUT THE TOOL

The medical staff worklife pulse survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. There are30questions,to be answered on a standard 5-point scale, covering five work life components: practice environment, team/unit, senior leaders, health & safety, and professional satisfaction. There is one open-ended question for feedback and opinion on any areas which are not already covered.
