§  Doctoral Research – Effect of Impact Fees on Housing Prices: Analysis of Quality

Differentiated Single Family Housing Market of King and Snohomish County, Washington.

Washington State Growth Management Act (GMA) authorizes cities and counties the use of

impact fees for financing streets, schools, parks and fire services. The research estimates the effect

of GMA Impact Fees on price of single family housing, while taking into account the structural

attributes of the house, the characteristics of the neighborhood and the jurisdictions, as well as the

macro economic and demographic drivers of housing market. As part of my doctoral research I have also performed complex spatial analysis using ArcView GIS software.

Research Methods: Hedonic and Logit Regression.

§  East Side Transportation Concurrency Study

Client: Cities of Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah and Kirkland, WA, USA.

Reviewed literature dealing with transportation concurrency, adequate facilities requirements, land use - transportation connection, and inter local agreements. Developed models for regional infrastructure finance, and for regional inter jurisdictional coordination.

§  Snohomish County Annexation Transition Study

Client: Snohomish County, WA, and Participating Cities and Special Districts.

Analyzed the issues that various stakeholders (county, cities, and special districts) face during annexation transition.Co-authored the final report.

§  Land Use Zoning Code for Jaipur Master Plan - 2011

Assisted in preparation of the ‘Land Use Zoning Code for Master DevelopmentPlan-2011’ for Jaipur. This included theurban as well as the rural areas of the region.
