Overview
Sterling Web Forms by Sterling Commerce is a Web-based solution that enables companies to trade electronically with their business partner(s). With this solution, electronic forms can be completed and sent via the Internet. To begin conducting business electronically, all the business partner requires is an Internet connection and a Web browser.
This document explains how to register on the Internet with Sterling Commerce to become a member of Cummins Engine Company's web-based trading partner community using Sterling Web Forms software.
Registration
Each business trading partner must have Internet access, either Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher or Netscape Communicator 6.2 or higher to use this software. Use the following steps to set web browser to work with Sterling Web Forms
· Set up the Web browser so that it will work with Sterling Web Forms.
If using Internet Explorer 6.0 or above:
1. From the Tools menu, select the Internet Options item. The Internet Options window General tab appears.
2. In the Temporary Internet Files area, click the Settings button. The Settings window appears.
3. Select the Automatically radio button.
4. Click the OK button to save the selection and close the window. You return to the Internet Options window.
5. Click the Apply button to save and apply changes. If the Apply button is disabled, select the OK button instead.
If using Netscape Navigator 6.2 or above:
1. From the Edit menu, select the Preferences item. The Preferences window appears.
2. From the Category area, select the Advanced item, and then select the Cache subitem. Information related to the selected item appears on the right side of the window.
3. Under Document in cache is compared to document on network, select the Every time radio button.
4. Click the OK button to save the selection and close the window.
· Click on the Address box at the top of the screen to highlight current address and overwrite with www.sterlingwebforms.com
· Hit enter.
· The screen should now say that you are being sent to a secure site.
· Eventually a screen will appear which contains two icons: REGISTER and LOGON.
· Click on REGISTER. You will now be taken through the following screens.

You must enter a password to use Cummins webforms. This password can be obtained from either Sterling Commerce or Cummins.
2. Tell Us About Yourself
Enter the following data. Note all fields with an asterisk (*) are required.
· Contact name
· Company address details.
· Email address. Email notifications will be sent to this address every time your Business Partner sends documents. Please ensure that the address given is for the person responsible for processing the documents.
3. User Name and Password
You must establish a password to access Sterling Web Forms. Please ensure you take note of the password requirements listed below.
Note: Once you establish the password, neither Sterling Commerce nor Cummins Engine has access to your passwords. Therefore, after confirmation on this screen, ensure you have a convenient way to retain these passwords for future use.
4. Summary and Confirmation
Read the summary of all entries to check for errors such as spelling mistakes in email address or incorrect telephone and facsimile numbers.
5. Monthly Processing Fees
Listed are the monthly processing fees. You should select one fee bracket based on the number of transmissions you will send and receive with your trading partner. If you are unsure as to which bracket your company falls into, please contact Sterling Commerce or Cummins. Please make a note of the Helpdesk number which is displayed further down the screen in case you should experience problems with Sterling Web Forms.
6. Legal Agreement
This is the Sterling Web Forms Network Services Agreement. Prior to completing this registration, you must read terms and conditions. This can be printed for future reference.

Once read and understood, then use the arrow keys at right of the screen to scroll to bottom. Here you must check the box and then click "I agree" to proceed.
7. Billing Address Details
You are required to provide address and contact details for your Accounts Payable department for Sterling Commerce to send you invoices. The contact name is the person responsible for payment of invoices.
8. Billing Confirmation
Read through the summary of your billing address details, checking spelling.
9. End of Registration
Once you have confirmed all information click once on submit to complete registration.
The final screen confirms your company is now part of Cummins EC Trading Partner Community and will list the documents you may send and receive. Exit Sterling Web Forms by clicking "HOME" at the top of the screen or by logging off the internet by clicking the small x at the top right corner of the screen.
Receiving Documents
When Cummins sends documents to your Sterling Web Forms account, you will automatically receive notification emails at the email address used in registering. You will receive one email per document received. These notifications should prompt you to log onto www.sterlingwebforms.com and read your documents.
Enter your User Name and Password that you entered when registering and click logon.
Sterling Web Forms Home Page
This screen displays your INBOX and OUTBOX . The INBOX will inform you of the total number of documents there and whether they have been "read" or "unread". New documents received will be marked as "unread".
Accessing Documents Received
In order to read and process the newly received documents from Cummins, click on INBOX or alternatively click on the INBOX icon which is in the top left hand corner of the screen. A table will appear which will contain the following information:
· Form Name (e.g. Delivery Schedule Number)
· Company (should always be Cummins)
· Form Type (e.g. DELFOR: Delivery Schedule Message)
· Date Received
· Status (read or unread)
To open the document, click on the Form Name. The document will now open and can be printed off for processing or can be saved as an HTML file onto your hard drive.
To close the document and return to the INBOX in order to read the other documents, click on the INBOX icon. You will notice that the document just seen will have status changed to "read". You should continue to open and process the documents in this way.
Please note that if you use the back button to return to the INBOX, the status of the documents read will not change to "read" but remain as "unread".
Sending Documents
To send documents to Cummins, you can click on Create Forms in the gray menu bar. A list will display the document types you are able to send. Click on the document you wish to send in order to view template.
You can also do what we term as a ‘turn around’ message that can be created directly from either the DELFOR: create a DESADV; or the DESADV: create an INVOIC
(NOTE: If you select the document from the Create Forms you will have to input all the mandatory fields. If you select the ‘turn around’ message, most of the mandatory fields will be auto populated from data in the document created from.)
There are a number of fields which must be filled in - mandatory fields have an asterisk (*). Scroll down the page filling in all necessary information until you reach the bottom, where you will have the options to SEND THIS FORM or SAVE AS A DRAFT.
PLEASE NOTE FOR US Suppliers shipping via CEVA to Cummins CBL, DAV or DEP, Cummins now requires the use of CEVV as the SCAC code. If you currently have a draft, please open the draft and correct the SCAC code to CEVV.

Select from the drop down box the AP site for the Cummins location you are billing:
Save As Draft
To save the document as a draft in order to send to Cummins at a later date, click on Save this Form as Draft. Make sure data that will change is not populated when you save. Name the file and it will be stored in DRAFTS once it is saved.
Send This Form
To send the form, click on SEND THIS FORM. The document will be available in your OUTBOX, and gives you the date and time that it was sent to Cummins.

To contact Sterling Commerce, contact the support desk through email, by clicking on the HELP icon and then select Create A Support Request
A box will now appear, displaying your current email address with a text box underneath. You should type your query here and then click Send Message.

Training Sessions
Cummins offers Web Form training sessions for Suppliers either on a one on one basis, or through weekly training sessions via teleconference. We walk through the DELFOR, APERAK and RECADV documents that Cummins sends, as well as the DESADV and INVOIC documents that Cummins expects the supplier to send when shipping to Cummins locations. This is an interactive training session, so any questions are welcome during the session.
