Try to fill in the diary at the end of each day as you will forget important points if you leave it to the end of the week.

Things to remember:
  • make sure you know how to get to work
  • get to work on time each day
  • if you are late, apologise and explain why
  • if you are ill, ring your employer early and tell your supervisor ; also ring the school to let your Guidance Teacher know

  • always obey safety instructions
  • if you are unsure about anything – ask : people will expect this
  • take a packed lunch unless a cheap or free meal is provided ; this will avoid extra expense
