Secondary Office Administrative Assistant

Start: 1 September 2017 or soon thereafter

The position of Secondary Office Administrative Assistant arises due to both exponential growth of student numbers and re-structuring of the school administration team. The candidate will be part of the Secondary Office Team that is the hub of the Secondary School and reports to the Secondary Office Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Works in collaboration with the Secondary Office team on day-to-day matters pertaining to SOM (Secondary Management System)
  • Assist the Secondary Office team in the day-to-day running of the Secondary calendar.
  • Ensures that all administration is correct for trips and tournaments.
  • At specific points through the academic year, assist the Communications Team and Athletic Director & MUNISH coordinator in the housing of students at school.
  • As part of the Secondary Office team, assist in the Admissions process for all new students entering the Secondary School.
  • Replacement of the Office Manager by absence.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of administration in a school or company beneficial.
  • Ability to work in both Dutch and English (written and spoken required.
  • Be a key team player and have the capacity and flexibility to deal with adhoc situations.
  • Commitment to improving school communications (internal & external).
  • A positive approach to all aspects of school life.

Working hours:

  • 1.0 Fte
  • 40 hours per week (excluding lunch break)
  • Working hours: 8:00 AM – 16:30 PM
  • Holidays may not be taken during school term time

We offer

A temporary appointment for a year, with a view to a permanent contract if all the conditions are met. The position is based on the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) for Secondary Education. Scaling: OOP staff, Scale 5. The exact step depends on the relevant background and experience.(CAO VO)
