FAITHS IN SCOTLAND COMMUNITY ACTION FUND

Conditions of Award

  • Grants must be used for the purpose stated in the letter of award. Any significant change in local circumstances affecting the aim of the project and the use of the grant should be discussed with staff.
  • Grant recipients will require to submit a progress report each year along with a copy of their own annual report and independently examined or audited accounts. Failure to do so within six months of the end of your financial year may result in the withholding of any agreed future funding.
  • Proper management, accounting and auditing procedures must be followed. FiSCAF may, at any time, enquire as to the suitability of these processes.
  • Grants offered should normally be taken up within nine months of the date of the award letter, otherwise the offer may be withdrawn and the organisation may require to re-apply.
  • Revenue grants will be paid in two instalments each year subject to satisfactory reporting. Normally we will pay grant instalments in August and February.
  • Capital grants will be paid on receipt of an itemised list of proposed expenditure and the recipient organisation must submit appropriate invoices or receipts within 30 days of the completion of work or the purchase of equipment.
  • Any equipment purchased with a grant from FiSCAF should be satisfactorily maintained and insured.
  • Projects awarded monies for recruitment of new staff members must ensure that their project uses an appropriate open recruitment process. Details of this process must be documented and shared with FiSCAF prior to the appointment of the staff member in question.
  • If the project comes to an end, or if the organisation’s constitution is altered to such an extent that it would make the organisation ineligible to apply, the unused balance of any grant must be returned and you must consult with FiSCAF about the future use of equipment purchased.
  • Organisations should acknowledge the support of FiSCAF – Faiths in Scotland Community Action Fund in any publicity, where appropriate. Various versions of our logo are available for use. If FiSCAF indicate that your project has been allocated funding in partnership with STV-Appeal, we would also ask that the STV Appeal logo is also used in any publicity.
  • Further conditions in relation to specific projects may be set which will be advised in the letter of award.
  • Failure to comply with the Conditions of Award may result in any agreed funding being withheld, or in FiSCAF being entitled to recover from the organisation any grant already awarded.
