GENERAL NOTES TO SPECIFIER:
THIS SPECIFICATION SECTION HAS BEEN PREPARED TO ASSIST DESIGN PROFESSIONALS IN THE PREPARATION OF PROJECT OR OFFICE MASTER SPECIFICATIONS. IT FOLLOWS GUIDELINES ESTABLISHED BY THE CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS INSTITUTE, AND THEREFORE MAY BE USED WITH MOST MASTER SPECIFICATION SYSTEMS WITH MINOR EDITING.

Part 3 -Execution

3.01Examination

A.Examine surfaces adjacent to which cabinets will be installed.

B.Coordinate with responsible entity to perform corrective work on unsatisfactory surfaces.

C.Commencement of work by installer is acceptance of support conditions.

3.02Preparation

A.Condition cabinets to occupancy level environmental conditions prior to installation.

B.Verify location of required cutouts and obtain templates for cutouts.

3.03 INSTALLATION

WIC PROVIDES DETAILED INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS FOR CABINETS BASED UPON THE GRADE(S) SELECTED ABOVE. SPECIFIER SHOULD BE FAMILIAR WITH THESE REQUIREMENTS IN THE EVENT IT IS DESIRED TO DELETE, MODIFY OR ADD ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS IN THIS ARTICLE. IN LOCATIONS REQUIRING SEISMIC RESTRAINT OF CABINETS, ADDITIONAL INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS SHOULD BE PROVIDED IN THIS ARTICLE OR INSTALLATION DETAILS SHOULD BE CLEARLY SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS. IF PROJECT INCLUDES MORE THAN ONE INSTALLATION GRADE, DRAWINGS MUST CLEARLY IDENTIFY SPECIFIC CABINETS AND INSTALLATION GRADES.
