Expressions of Interest are invited from interested applicants from schools for temporary appointment to the position of Deployment Support Officerwith Local Deployment Team (LDT) 57 from 27 January 2017 to 18 August 2017.

LDT 57 will operate from the LMBR Learning Hub based at Hume Public School and support schools being deployed in Group 5 from Albury and Wagga Wagga Principals Networks.

Interested staff are asked to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), indicating their capacity to undertake the role with reference to the attached position description (up to three pages). The EOI should include the names and contact details of two referees who can talk about your work in the school. Your principal should be your first referee and must be prepared to release you for the full duration of the projected deployment period.

If you are offered one of these positions you will retain your current School Administrative and Support Staff (SASS) position and work under SASS conditions. You will continue to be paid your existing SASS rate of pay and will also be paid a higher duties allowance that is based on the difference between your current rate of pay and the maximum rate of pay of a Clerk Grade 3. LMBR DEPLOYMENT SUPPORT OFFICER

ROLE STATEMENT

Primary purpose of the role

Provide quality administrative and support services to the Local Deployment Team, ensuring that administrative, processing and reporting functions are carried out in accordance with established policy, procedures and deadlines.

Key accountabilities

  • Contribute to the effective business operations of the Local Deployment Team by providing a range of quality administrative, clerical, organisational and facilities support services to the Leader, Schools Deployment and other members of the Local Deployment Team.
  • Manage the flow of information, correspondence and documents for the Local Deployment Team using TRIM, advanced word processing and data base skills along with experience across a range of MS Office suite of applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint with working knowledge of SAP.
  • Monitor schools’ completion of readiness activities through SharePoint and prepare daily reports for the Leader, Schools Deployment.
  • Provide clerical support through scheduling and managing the diaries of Leader and other members of the Local Deployment Team and manage MyPL and other workshop bookings, attendance sheets and absentees and follow up on evaluations.
  • Coordinate responses on behalf of the Leader, Schools Deployment and other team members while maintaining strict confidentiality and sensitivity and ensuring that tight time frames are met.
  • Provide a responsive and customer focused reception service to schools and liaise with other support staff to ensure that general administrative services are consistent across the Local Deployment Teams

  • The ability to provide quality administrative support and service to schools and the Local Deployment Team while managing large volumes of enquiries and operating under competing demands, shifting priorities and workloads.
  • Understanding the functions of new systems being deployed to schools, managing and maintaining the quality, accuracy, integrity and security of the input and output data from information systems.
  • Working as part of a team and competently understanding the overall work priorities of the team; and having a capacity for flexibility to meet a broad range of support tasks.
