JV VOLLEYBALL INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT 2017

McDonnell Athletic Center (MAC)Please enter from Entrance 1, located off Ladue Road. Enter the MAC from ground level and proceed up the stairs to 2nd level. Entrance to courts will be to the left.

PARTICIPANTS: Clayton, John Burroughs, Lutheran North, Metro, MICDS, Westminster, Whitfield

DETAILS:

1)The team listed first is the HOME team. Each team will be responsible to officiate games during the tournament. You must provide 2 line judges, libero tracker, and a scorekeeper (book).

2)Games win/loss record will determine pool standing.

3)In the event of a tie in pool play standings, the higher seed will be determined by:

  1. Head to head competition
  2. Point differential in head-to-head match if there is a split in games won
  3. Point differential vs. all other opponents, least number of points allowed determines tie breaker.
  4. Coin flip

4)Concessions will not be available. Please plan accordingly.

5)Outside chairs are not allowed.

6)MICDS will provide warm-up and game balls. Please do not bring your own.

7)Plaque awarded to 1st place team.

PLAYOFFS:

All 3 teams fromthe “Green Pool” will advance to post-pool play. The top 3 teams from the “Red Pool” will also advance to post pool play. The top two teams of each pool will advance to the Playoffs. The two 3rd place teams will play a consolation match. The fourth-place team from the “Red Pool” will not advance and will be eliminated. The playoff format will be 2-out-of-3 games played to 25, with a cap of 27. During playoffs, each team playing will be responsible for providing 1 line judge and a scorekeeper (book)/libero tracker.

Each team will play 6 games total in the morning pools. The “Red Pool” will play 3 matches (2 games each), while the “Green Pool” will play 2 matches (3 games each) Each game will start with 4-4 on the scoreboard and be played to 25 with a cap at 27. Please be prepared to play as games will be moved ahead of schedule if possible. The team responsible for officiating a game will need to provide 2 line judges, libero tracker and scorekeeper (book). Standings will be determined immediately for afternoon playoffs. Top two teams will advance to the Playoffs. The two 3rd place teams will play each other for a consolation match. The 4th place team from the “Red Pool” will not advance to post-pool play.

WARM-UPS- Each team will be given five minutes of ball handling and six minutes of net time before theirFIRST GAME. For all remaining games, each team will be provided with three minutes of net time. Game officials will keep track of warm-up time.
