Planning Clinical Content Review and Validation Form

  • Completed by: designated Education Planning Representative - an Education Planning Representative must be an ACEP member in good standing that serves as ACEP’s official representative during the planning, development, and implementation process.
  • Assigned by: designated Main Contact (Applicant)
  • Purpose: to ensure that the initial activity planning and development is conducted according to guidelines set forth in the form

Pre-activity Clinical Content Review and Validation Form

  • Completed by: designated Pre-activity Representative – the Pre-activity Representative cannot be the same individual designated to fulfill the Education Planning Representative; the Pre-activity representative must be an ACEP member in good standing or a qualified staff member that serves as ACEP’s official representative during the final review process.
  • Assigned by: designated Main Contact (Applicant)
  • Purpose: to conduct a review of final CME content (slides, handouts, etc.) to ensure that it meets the guidelines set forth in the form

Onsite Clinical Content Review and Validation Form

  • Completed by: designated Onsite Representative(s) – the Education Planning Representative, Pre-activity Representative, remaining Planners, and/or qualified staff may serve in this capacity; there may be multiple Onsite Representatives dependent upon the size and scope of an activity and/or need for moderators at concurrent sessions
  • Assigned by: designated Main Contact (Applicant)
  • Purpose: to serve as ACEP’s official representative as a moderator during live presentations whereby the faculty member’s disclosure form reflects a real or perceived conflict of interest to ensure that they are delivered according to guidelines set forth in the form

Note: This role will also be used by ACEP CME Staff for the assignment of ACEP National Education Representative (NER) to conduct a final reviewfor Enduring Material application submissions.

Resolving Conflicts of Interest Form (RCOI)

  • Completed by: Education Planning Representative, Pre-activity Representative, Onsite Representatives, remaining planners, and/or qualified staff
  • Assigned by: designated Main Contact (Applicant)
  • Purpose: must be completed for all individuals in control of content whose disclosure form reflects a real or perceived conflict of interest to ensure compliance with ACEP’s “Resolving Conflicts of Interest in CME Activities” policy; this includes ensuring that the individual receives a copy of, understands, and acknowledges the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support as they relate to the development and presentation of evidence-based CME content and educational materials that are free of commercial bias
