APPLICATION PROCESS

1)Complete the attached Application form and send it back to Fern Hill together with a copy of your ID (or passport for International students), most recent academic marksand proof of payment of R500 for the interview fee. Please reference your deposit with your initials & surname and “interview”. These documents can be emailed to or send as a picture of the application form on Whatsapp to 082686 6728 or posted to PO Box 5, Tweedie, 3255.

2)A motivation letter about why you wouldlike to study Hospitalityor Professional Cookery at Fern Hill.

3)Please also indicate preferred dates for an interview.The interview will take place over two days. Accommodation can be organised for the applicant if necessary.

4)Once application has been received we will contact you to confirm the date for the interview.

5)After the interview we will notify you within 2 weeks of the outcome.

6)If you are successful, R10 000 is required to secure your place at the College and the remaining amount will be due on Registration, or you may contact us prior to Registration for other payment plans.

Hospitality Management

Black trousers (or knee length skirts for ladies)

White button up shirt

Black jersey (if cold)

Flat black shoes – they should be comfortable as you will be on your feet all day)

Professional Chef

Plain white T Shirt/white button shirt

Black trousers or neat black jeans without any holes

Shoes: the kitchen can get wet and slippery so shoes should have non-slip soles and be relatively waterproof.

Meals:Breakfast and lunch are provided in our student/staff canteen

Nothing else required– besides a friendly, interested and willing temperament is required.

On the first morning report to Reception.

Accommodation. If overnight accommodation is required, please let me know in advance.

After the interview we will notify you within 2 weeks of the outcome
