ORDER: Noted. More information to be provided on Cabra housing voids as per the Finglas Report. Councillors were reminded of the vacancy on the Cabra & Finglas Drug & Alcohol Task Force.

That this Committee agrees that Charleville Road, Dublin 7 be included in the 2016 Speed Ramp Replacement Programme.

Finglas Matters
NWA/107/16 Finglas Area Office Report, Aidan Maher, Assistant Area Manager
ORDER: Public Domain Officer to follow up on issues relating to the removal of the Coláiste Eoin recycling facility with Waste Management.
Response from the Glasnevin Trust Board in relation to request for political representation on the Board is awaited and will be circulated on receipt.
Issues relating to Prospect Hill were discussed and responded to by staff from Development and Housing. An information meeting for public representatives will be arranged when the tendering process and timelines for remediation is established.
The Area Committee Members requested that the original nominations should stand in fairness to the applicants concerned and that this should be strongly conveyed to the Allocations Section.
Area Manager will discuss the operation of the Dog Park in St. Anne’s Park with the City Parks Superintendent and report on Parks experience in operating it.
Request for enhanced lighting in Dunsink Park and Green discussed.

That this Committee would request the manager to assist residents of Dunsink Avenue (lane way between Wellmount Road and Dunsink Avenue) to improve the public domain with a view to deterring anti social behaviour.
ORDER: Report to Councillor. Issues relating to anti social problems on the laneway section between Wellmount and Dunsink to be referred to the JPC.

That this committee writes to Dublin Bus to examine the capacity of its service through Finglas south at morning peak times.
ORDER: Report to Councillor. Dublin Bus will be invited to attend the July North West Area Committee Meeting to discuss their services across the NWA. Questions to be submitted by Councillors prior to the meeting.
NWA/110/16 Motion in the name of Councillor Anthony Connaghan
That this Area Committee supports the concept of Co-operative Housing Schemes and calls on Dublin City Council to investigate the use of Co-operative Housing on the Valley Site in Finglas South. And further calls on DCC to facilitate any prospective groups as much as possible in their endeavours to provide affordable housing to prospective members.
ORDER: Report to Councillor. Investigation works need to be carried out on this site to determine suitability for housing. Ó Cualann Co-Housing Alliance is the pilot for other large voluntary housing schemes.

NWA/119/16 With reference to the proposed grant of a lease of part of the Ground Floor South, plus one basement car space at Ballymun Civic Centre, Ballymun Main Street, Dublin 9.

To ask the manager to supply playground equipment for smaller children in Poppintree Park. The current equipment only suits children of a certain age.

a) To ask the manager to arrange for a 2 hour free parking time period at the Ballymun Shopping centre to support businesses in the area.
b) And to also look at putting in some disabled parking spaces at the side of Supervalu.
