Space 2009 Review
· Action to All: Email Best Paper nominations in Space Logistics to Alan Johnson
AIAA ASM 2010
· Next meeting at ASM 2010 – January 4-7 2010, 48th Annual AIAA ASM
· Trip to KSC included (suggested by Karen: Thursday, Friday)
· Visit information – should be submitted before Thanksgiving, more details for foreign nationals
· Action to Karen & Paul: Post required information form for tours online for tours
11th International Conference on Space Operations 25-30 April 2010 – Huntsville, AL
· Action to Pete: Help host meeting
Space 2010 Planning
· Planning meeting attended by Jennifer
· Connectivity at AIAA Events
o Difficult to get access for teleconferences, internet access limited
o Union issues, hotels make internet and telecom connections difficult (=expensive)
o Twitter/Facebook notifications online for conference proceedings?
o Construction of “under 30” chaired group would be helpful
· International Student Participation
o Difficult to get involved with AIAA
o AIAA Section 8 (International) not very active
o NASA TV very popular
· Action to “young guns”: How do we get students to Anaheim? How do we have students participate remotely? How do we better incorporate international students?

Standard for Classification of Space Cargo (Bob Shishko)
· Two emails from past year – no great comments after presentation
· Revised Schedule
o Approved outline January 2009
o Action to Bob: First full draft for SLTC review by January 2010
o Release for public review, Spring 2010
· Discussion: work with international level (get ESA/JAXA involved, pre-consultation?)
o Karen: work through state department, help get input from other stakeholders
o Bob: missing point of entry to the right people
o Action to Jennifer: Get in contact with right people (Cirillo’s group)
Space Lexicon
· Editor’s notes for revision, should be brought before TC for vote to send to public review
· Action to TC: Need documented vote on revised lexicon standard
Michelle: First 7 of 30-35 standards released around mission assurance (reliability, commonality) – chaired by Tyrone Jackson
Progress Series Book
· Material ~60% done (15/29 chapters done), more chapters available (~20 pages each)
· Missing chapter on discrete event simulation of ground operations? (Martin Steele)
· Additional chapter on space port operations (Karen)
· Additional chapter on commonality/scavenging? -ilities?
· Additional chapter on orbital debris?
· Recommendation of workshop to review progress at future meeting (April in Huntsville)
· Action to Oli/Paul: Find good collaborative method online for comments
Policy and Procedures Manual
· Some updates made from Alan Johnson
· Action to Barry (+helpers): Organize/revise with Steering Subcommittee for TC vote by January Orlando Meeting
SLTC Education Initiative
· Oli/Paul/Jason Held: Proposal submitted to NASA Goddard re: eEducation MMOG
AIAA Emerging Technologies Committee (Standing Committee)
· Identify new and emerging technologies of importance
· Action to Rich: Make contact with committee for representation
Interaction with other TCs
· Action item (from SMG): Consider mapping relationship between Space TC activities/missions within SMG using architecture framework (DODAF?) – ongoing
Candidates for new SLTC membership
· Need to nominate at least 10 candidates to fill roster
· Nominations due by November 1

· SpaceOps 2010 – April 25-30, Huntsville AL
· Space 2010 – Sept. 28-30, Anaheim CA
o Transition to new TC chair at this meeting
