Evening activities

We arrive late to the hotel on the first night so we really only have 2 days where we need to arrnage some evening entertainment. We believe it important to keep the group together but we will take a trip down to the centre of Sorrento one night and then to the beach and swimming pool on the second night. Evening meals are always taken at the hotel but we are hoping to be able to take the opportunity to sample some Italian ice cream! We will have a few activities and games for later in the evening before bedtime!

What do I need to bring?

Each student is allowed 1 piece of cabin baggage and 1 piece of hold baggage. You hold baggage must be less that 20kg or you could get charged extra.

  • A towel and swimming costume (for swimming pool/ beach)
  • Sunscreen (maximum protection factor)
  • We will be experiencing a wide variety of climates and altitudes. You need to be prepared for all eventualities – therefore please bring (and wear)
  • A warm, waterproof coat
  • Warm jumper (s)
  • A warm hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Comfortable walking shoes/ boots
  • It is assumed that students will bring their own cameras, mp3 players and phones. The Slemish staff take no responsibility for any valuables that students bring with them. Students need to take good care of their own belongings at all times.
  • As we will be travelling most of the day each student should bring a bag with a spare change of clothes each day. A small rucksack (cabin bag) should be able to accommodate this.

(This list will be further updated closer to the trip)

Expectations and responsibility

Closer to the trip we will have a meeting with all of the students who are going on the trip and we will look at the expectations and responsibilities for behaviour on the trip.

Insurance liability

The trip is fully covered by both a comprehensive travel insurance policy plus the school liability insurance. I will give out a copy of the insurance schedule and some further trip information at the meeting with parents and students towards the end of May.

If you have any further questions about the trip please contact me at the college or email Mr Manson at .
