DRAFT

The main goal is establishing permanently acting Study Session, which will prepare specialists among the students-debaters and schoolteachers for their further Action activity and development of debate clubs of three target regions: Ivano-frankivsk region(Ukraine), Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county (Hungary), Maramures county (Romania). Cross-Border Debate Youth Study should support youth initiatives and promote the Youth Carpathian International Debate Association.

Objectives. 1) To prepare the participants to the future debate tournaments; 2) to develop the Youth Carpathian International Debate Association strategy; 3) to teach the participants how to find the members for the debate clubs, promote the debate clubs in the schools and universities.

Day 2, May 30, 2014

9.00-9.30 / Registration. Coffee break.
9.30 – 10.00 / Opening Ceremony. Greetings from the honorable guests.
10.00 – 11.00 / Presentation of the project. Introducing the school study participants.Organization part. Moderator Diana Velykochyj
11.00 – 12.00 / Training 1. The role of debates. What are the debates? The history of debates. Lada Malaniy
The example, how debates influence on the personality development. (Lada Malanij)
International negotiations. Different styles of negotiation negotiations and its characteristics (Igor Gurak)
How to act during the debate process. Forbidden tricks during the debate (Pavlo Andrusak)

13.30 – 14.30 / Lunch
14.30 – 15.30 / Training 2. Different types of debates. How to play debates due to the British parliamentary debate format
The structure of the debate round. Player`s functions. How to judge debates. Who is the debate judge and he should do?
15.30 – 17.00 / Training 3. Дебатні основи
What are interpretation and definition. Strategies for persuasion: basic strategies for government, exercise the making arguments
17.00 – 17.30 / Coffee break
18.00 – 19.00 / Training 4. How to form point against. Exercises
19.00 – 20.00 / Supper for partners delegations and representatives from other cities.

Day 3, May 31, 2014

09.30 – 11.30 / Training debate tournament.(Topic: THIS HOUSE WOULD CENSOR THE INTERNET). Discussion.
11.30 – 12.00 / Debate club and debate tournaments.How to develop own brand, playing in the team, self-government, perspectives for the development.
12.00 – 13.00 / Presentation of the Youth Carpathian International Debate Association. Signing the Memorandum of cooperation between project partners.
13.00 – 14.00 / Lunch
14.00 – 14.30 / The Closing Ceremony. Certificates Awarding.
14.30 – 16.00 / The strategic debate planning committee of the three project target locations.
Discussion the strategic development of the Youth Carpathian International Debate Association.
